For Network Technician Corporal Hakim Khan-Crofts, diversity means embracing the unique characteristics of each person to build stronger teams. “It allows us to learn from each other, broaden our perspectives and grow together, both personally and professionally,” he said. As a native Spanish speaker, Corporal Khan-Crofts looks forward to supporting communication and building stronger ties with our Spanish-speaking partners. More than a quarter of our aviators come from cultural or linguistically diverse backgrounds, speaking more than 80 languages, making us #StrongerTogether. 🙌 Read Corporal Khan-Crofts story ➡️ http://spr.ly/60480sz84 #YourADF #OurPeople #HarmonyDay

  • A round of applause for the first of our RAAF Pilots to complete their initial training with the Royal Air Force (RAF)!👏 After two years of initial pilot training in the UK, Pilot Officer Burton and Pilot Officer Streeter-Smith are home with their Wings. They're now posted to No. 2 Flying Training School at 📍 RAAF Base Pearce, where they'll master the PC-21 before beginning fast jet training with No. 79 Squadron. The Inspector-General of the Australian Defence Force has commenced an independent inquiry into allegations and perceptions that the military justice system has been, or has the potential to be, 'weaponised' or abused, such that it may cause harm. The Inquiry will consider the extent of any such abuse, assess system vulnerabilities and recommend improvements. Submissions are now open. Current and former ADF members, their families and the public are invited to contribute, particularly regarding matters that have occurred from 2020 onwards. Submissions can be made online or via email. For more details, scope, and support services, visit: https://lnkd.in/gq-dnEqk #YourADF

  • Pioneering care at sea 🩹🏥 Congratulations to the final cohort of medics to graduate from the Clinic Managers Course! The Royal Australian Navy is evolving first-response medical training, with its most extensive upgrade in over 25 years. The Extended Care Medics Course, launched in February, prepares medics to manage critically ill patients for up to 72 hours in remote, maritime, and austere environments without a medical officer. Building on decades of innovation, the course enhances fleet capability, supports smaller ships, and equips sailors with qualifications that help them transition into civilian healthcare. The course will further enhance the Navy’s ability to provide the best possible medical care to sailors on all current and future vessels, including new offshore patrol vessels and submarines. ⚓ Read more ➡️ http://spr.ly/60450O2mW 📷 POIS James Whittle #YourADF #AusNavy
