Garry James, Chairman of Freemasons Foundation Victoria recently announced more than $800,000 in funding for projects that improve the lives and opportunities of Victorians. RULE Prostate Cancer and the Australian Prostate Centre are proud recipients of part of this funding for PROSFIT, our evidence-based exercise program for men with prostate cancer. Targeted exercise is a very effective way to manage side effects from treatment and is accessible to everyone at our Centre. Novel therapies for the treatment of advanced disease have seemed to multiply exponentially. The conference will focus on the latest innovations in prostate cancer research, including the advancement of precision medicine and targeted therapies, the integration of artificial intelligence in the diagnostic algorithm and treatment pathways and the development of next generation imaging techniques. We will explore the potential of genomics and immunotherapy in managing prostate cancer, as well as role of theranostics, treatment sequencing and treatment intensification.
