Over an exhilarating week in March, the participants of our TRAIL Emerging Leaders Program engaged in a dynamic experiential learning leadership program. They tackled a variety of physical and mental challenges, including rock climbing, bush walking and camping, enhancing their leadership skills in real-world scenarios. One of the highlights of the week was a prestigious meeting with Her Excellency, the Governor-General, Sam Mostyn. As a patron of the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation, her insights and encouragement deeply resonated with our emerging leaders, further inspiring them to make impactful contributions to their communities. This year marked a milestone with two TRAIL cohorts running simultaneously—a first for us! Thanks to funding from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry's Helping Regional Communities Prepare for Drought Initiative, we welcomed 20 additional emerging leaders who are ready to champion resilience and growth in their communities. Join us in congratulating these inspiring individuals, now part of our expansive network of over 2,900 leaders across rural, regional, and remote Australia. We’re excited to see where their leadership journeys take them! #TRAIL2025 #leadershipprogram #ruralleaders #Governergeneral #outwardbound #sammostyngovernorgeneral #sammostyn #bushwalking #hiking #rockclimbing #camping #leadershipdevelopment #drought AgriFutures Australia Australian Eggs CBH Group GO.FARM Pakaderinga Feedlot Torres Strait Regional Authority NH Foods Australia Cotton Research and Development Corporation Outward Bound Australia
