Introducing our 2025 Australian Women in Agriculture Women on Agricultural Boards project Tier 1 – board ready co-hort. Peta Wilmott is a broadacre grain farmer from Kimba on the Upper Eyre Peninsula of South Australia. She is highly regarded within both the grains sector and her local community, bringing a wealth of experience in organizational leadership, governance, and finance. Peta is dedicated to fostering continuous improvement, enhancing regional communities, and promoting a thriving agricultural industry. Currently, she serves as the Vice-Chair of Grain Producers South Australia, is a Councillor on the Primary Producers South Australia Policy Council, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. #womenonboards #womeninleadership #agriculturalboardleadership #australianwomeninagriculture

AWiA Victorian Director Narelle Hanrahan represented Australian Women in Agriculture speaking at the National Council of Women Victoria's 64th Pioneer Women’s Ceremony. Narelle sat alongside AWiA life member Alanna Johnson speaking about the Invisible Farmers Project, the role of Indigenous women in sustainable land practices, the diversity of women in the agricultural industry from farmers to scientists, the need for systematic change and greater representation of women in leadership roles. Narelle acknowledged the ongoing work of Australian Women in Agriculture in empowering women through advocacy, mentorship, education and support. Introducing our 2025 Australian Women in Agriculture Women on Agricultural Boards project Tier 1 – board ready co-hort. Jennifer Fraser has extensive experience in the rural water industry. For seven years she lead groundwater management and planning across Victoria. She was a director of the East Gippsland Catchment Management Authority, a Commissioner with the Victorian Environmental Water Holder and is currently a director on the board of North East Water. She is a qualified company director. Introducing Sharon Starick, presenting at the AWiA Women on Ag Boards March Webinar. Sharon holds an Honours degree in Agricultural Science. Since 1993, Sharon and her husband have been producing grain and pork in the Mallee region of South Australia. Over the past 20 years, Sharon has been a director and Chair of a number of diverse agricultural boards including industry bodies, natural resource management groups, government boards and other private and public organisations. Through Sharon’s strong interest in collaboration and delivering outcomes for Australian agriculture, she currently holds the positions of: Chair of the Grains Research and Development Corporation Director of Animal Health Australia (past Chair) Chair of the Australian Pork Industry Quality Assurance Program Panel Director of the Regional Investment Corporation She is also a past Chair of the South Australian Murray-Darling Basin Natural Resources Management Board and independent Chair of the South Australian Future Drought Fund Advisory Group as well as a past director of Land and Water Australia, South Australia’s Natural Resources Management Council, the Australian Landcare Council, SA No til Farmers Association, Murray Plains Farmers and the Community Advisory Committee for the Murray–Darling Basin Ministerial Council. #AWiAWOAB

AWiA Women on Ag Boards March Webinar Presenter Dr Rowan O’Hagan has qualifications in agricultural science, regional economics and accounting. Rowan is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Chair of the AICD Hume Regional Forum. Previously Rowan was a director of North East Water, Coliban Water, Albury Wodonga Health and Indigo Power Ltd. where she was also Chair of the Audit Committee. Rowan was a Graduate Member of Charles Sturt University Council, and a director of WAW Credit Union, Ovens & King Community Health and Gateway Health. Rowan facilitated the successful ‘AGendHER+ Remote, regional and ready for boards’ program for AWiA in 2018. #AWiAWOAB
