Creating great food for a better future
About us
The Bega Group is home to many trusted and wholesome food brands that are enjoyed in Australia and all around the world. Our growth story of becoming a successful ASX listed company with a turnover in excess of $3 billion is made possible by our values and outward-looking perspective. We have approximately 4,000 passionate employees, working across 20 manufacturing sites and corporate offices who are helping us achieve our vision to become The Great Australian Food Company. To achieve this vision, we focus on creating great food, inspiring great people, having great aspirations and working for the greater good. We run the largest cold chain network in Australia, which allows us to service our customers across Australia and beyond. Our customer service and sales team members work across our sites and on the road to assist customers from supermarkets and convenience outlets through the schools, hospitals and the local milk bar. Our passion for the customer underpins everything we do. Whether it’s your favourite spreads like Vegemite and Bega Peanut Butter on toast, a dash of Dairy Farmers milk in your morning coffee, a Big M or Dare Iced Coffee on the go or a Zooper Dooper on a hot day - you've probably grown up enjoying the iconic products we proudly manufacture every day at Bega.

More than half (59%) of all food insecure households are regularly skipping meals or going entire days without food. It’s a stark reminder of the ongoing challenges faced by too many in Australia. Foodbank remains dedicated to making a difference, ensuring food relief is accessible to those who need it most. We are proud supporters of Foodbank and their mission of ending hunger in Australia. #ZeroHunger #FoodbankHungerReport2024 #FoodRelief #BeKind Foodbank Australia

Did you know that according to the Foodbank Australia Hunger Report 2023, 3.7 million households in Australia experienced food insecurity in the past 12 months? It's more important than ever to assist communities facing food insecurity and we're so proud to be supplying nearly half a million jars of VEGEMITE through our partnership with Foodbank, putting a rose in every cheek for Aussies in need. Our limited-edition VEGEMITE jars featuring a purple Foodbank sticker are now landing on supermarket shelves, bringing awareness to Foodbank's incredible work and encouraging those who can, to donate as well. Here is a behind the scenes look of the production line at Vegemite Way. #TastesLikeAustralia #FoodbankAustralia #ProudlyAussieMade #BVitaminsForVitality

Congratulations to our 2022 cohort of graduates who have completed their graduate program with Bega Group! In celebration of this occasion, our graduates gathered together recently to present their achievements, learnings and reflections on their 2-year rotational program. Hearing about their unique experiences left us very proud of their growth and contributions in such a short time and with little prior experience behind them! We wish our graduates all the best as they move beyond the program and continue their careers with Bega Group! #BegaRISEGraduateProgram #GrowOurPeople #GraduateProgram

On Thursday, 26 September, a group of Bega team members volunteered their time to pack meals with Foodbank Victoria. They packed the equivalent of 16,650 meals which get sent to several of the 500+ charities that Foodbank Victoria supports. It was a great day having the opportunity to truly make a difference to Victorians in need and we are proud to partner with Foodbank nationally. #foodbank #foodbankvic #community #charity #foodinsecurity #begagroup

VEGEMITE is excited to support Foodbank Australia, Australia's largest food relief organisation, by supplying 436,000 150g VEGEMITE jars to communities facing food insecurity. That's 13 million serves of VEGEMITE. VEGEMITE couldn't have done it without the help of its amazing partners - Asahi Beverages, Lesaffre, Visy (including VISY Glass and VISYGlama) and Labelmakers Group. It's a true team effort and VEGEMITE is so proud to play its part. #TastesLikeAustralia #FoodbankAustralia #ProudlyAussieMade #BVitaminsForVitality

Here at the Bega Group, our business model is built around an integrated value chain, this means that we source from growers and farmers, primary process into ingredients, secondary process into packaged goods, sell and distribute to other food manufacturers and retailers and market our brands to consumers. Within this value chain, four capabilities, in particular, reinforce and build on each other to create a stronger competitive advantage. This week we hear firsthand from Richard Hechter, Senior National Business Manager – Beverages about the core capabilities that resonate with him most in his role. #begagroup #begagroupcareers #corecapabilities #supplychain #lifeatbega #culture David McKinnon Melissa Old Amy Searle Georgia Vibert Adam Dougherty Ilana Gold Katie C. We believe that a simple conversation can make a world of difference. That’s why we are proud to stand with R U OK? and commit to asking “R U OK?” any day, not just today. Our partnership with R U OK? reflects our dedication to fostering a supportive and connected workplace where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. Over the past month, our team members have gathered across sites to connect and learn more about mental health and the importance of checking in with each other, their family and friends. This week, we also hosted a special webinar featuring R U OK? CEO, Katherine Newton, alongside our CEO, Peter Findlay and members of the Executive team, where we explored how to confidently ask R U OK? and have those meaningful conversations any day that could change a life.
