At #TPMindsAsia2024, we were captivated by Sharon Arasu, EGM - Tax, Treasury, Risk, and Systems at CAR Group, who delivered an engaging presentation on Key Competencies for TP Professionals in the Current Tax Landscape. Sharon manages to make the complexities of tax both interesting and entertaining, leaving the audience with invaluable takeaways. Her insights on the evolving role of tax professionals in the face of AI and automation were particularly impactful. Today we announce the launch of our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), endorsed by Reconciliation Australia. This is our second RAP and builds on the commitment and progress we made through our first Reflect RAP.   Our vision for Reconciliation remains unchanged and is one where the divide and racial inequality that currently exists between First Nations Australians and other Australians is overcome.   Through our Reflect RAP we placed a strong focus on providing education and cultural awareness opportunities to our people, to help build an understanding of reconciliation and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities. Our Innovate RAP gives us the opportunity to expand on this as well as look for ways to strength and deepen our relationships First Nations peoples and communities.   Paul Barlow, Managing Director of carsales, said of our Innovate RAP, ‘We are proud at carsales to have a strong focus on providing a diverse, equitable and inclusive working environment.
