🌿 Experience the revitalised Rymill Park / Murlawirrapurka (Park 14) during Adelaide Fringe! 🎭 The City of Adelaide is thrilled to see the transformed Rymill Park come alive as part of Gluttony this year at the Adelaide Fringe. The stunning $6 million upgrade of Rymill Lake is complete, bringing sustainable features and enhanced beauty to this beloved space. 💧 This transformation has made the lake fully sustainable, with a new stormwater pipeline and bio-filter rain gardens connecting to Victoria Park wetlands, saving thousands on water bills while enhancing the park’s natural beauty. The transformation also features newly landscaped areas, along with a new concrete basin for the lake, updated walls, and an extended deck beside the existing kiosk. Additionally, new pathways and lighting have been added to provide safer and more scenic access. 🌿 Discover the New Rymill Park Lake Raingarden 💧 The Rymill Park Lake Renewal has transformed one of Adelaide’s most treasured spaces, and now is the perfect time to experience it while the Adelaide Fringe is on! ✅ Sustainable Design – The new bio-filter raingarden helps maintain a healthy waterway by naturally filtering nutrients. ✅ Revitalised Spaces – Fresh landscaping, new turf, and improved pathways ensure safe and scenic access around the lake. ✅ Community-Focused – The park is fully reopened, ready for leisure, events, and picnics under the trees. Completed in October last year, this project was made possible through a funding partnership between the City of Adelaide and the State Government. Come and see the renewal for yourself!

Join us in testing an exciting new way to recycle soft plastics! ♻️🧡 Following a successful soft plastics recycling trial in 2022, Council is working with the Central Adelaide Waste and Recycling Authority (CAWRA) and a soft plastics stewardship scheme to pilot a new 100% recycled bag to recycle your soft plastics. Over the next 12 months, 1,500 residents will have the opportunity to collect their soft plastics for recycling using a new special orange bag which is then placed in their kerbside yellow recycling bin. These special orange collection bags are made in Australia with 100% recycled content and the soft plastics are reprocessed in Australia into new products. Any resident who lives in our Council area and has a yellow recycling bin serviced by City of Adelaide can register to be part of the pilot and be sent the special FREE orange bags, but spaces are strictly limited.
