Toan Nguyen, the first Vietnamese born Inspector Officer in South Australia Police, has worked on some of the most significant and complex operations in SAPOL history. However, this journey was not initially planned. While pursuing a teaching degree at university, Toan was influenced to change his career path during his second-year placement after witnessing a particular incident which moved him to seek a career in policing.
