Purr-fect Hangover Helper! 🐾 Hi, it’s Paddy here! Do you know Nori can be a great snack to prevent a hangover? Nori is rich in Taurine which has various effects, but for alcohol it strengthens the liver's detoxification ability and further enhances liver function, helping to prevent hangovers. Nori also contains protein. Two sheets of Nori contain the equivalent of about 15g of boiled soybeans! When humans drink too much alcohol, they need extra protein. Without enough protein, their bodies feel weak and grumpy, just like a kitten without a nap! So if you eat Nori with alcohol, you can supplement your protein and improve liver function, which is a great benefit for alcohol lovers.

Natto Spread for Natto Beginners🥢 Have you tried natto before? Natto is fermented soybeans, a very popular breakfast choice in Japan. It's also used for sushi, pasta... the list goes on. However, it's an acquired taste-- with its weird slimy appearance and smell. Most people new to natto put off on eating it because of this. Despite its looks and smell, natto has tons of health benefits! The spread is great on toasted bread, veggie sticks or crackers on a peckish afternoon or as a pre or post-workout snack!🏃 Click here for the recipe and tips 👇 https://lnkd.in/gkSpPS8U

Hi, It’s Paddy here! 🐱 Are you using good-quality soy sauce? Yoshiko is using high-quality artisan organic tamari soy sauce from @spiralfoods both at home and in her cooking classes 🥰 Unfortunately, there are lots of not-so-good soy sauce on the market … how you can find a good one? Check the ingredients! Make sure they are WHOLE soybeans. not just soybeans, listed in ingredients. Soybeans quite often mean de-fattened soybean powder. What’s the problem with soybean powder? It is lacking in omega 3 in soybean fat and quite often are defatted with chemicals. You will be surprised to see how rare to find soy sauce that uses whole soybeans! Even well-known Japanese brands of soy sauce don’t use whole soybeans. For tasty soy sauce or tamari, make sure it has whole soybeans, sea salt and koji as ingredients and avoid soy sauce that contains MSG, sugar and unknown ingredients!

Paddy paws in with a purr-fect tip for yummy Japanese food! 🐾 Ever wonder what makes those yummy Japanese soups and broths taste so meowgical?🪄It's all thanks to something called Dashi! This savory broth is the secret ingredient in miso soup, noodle dishes, and tons more. Now, making dashi from scratch can take some time , which is why dashi powder is purr-fectly convenient. But most powders have hidden MSG that is not good for human health. Unfortunately MSG has sneaky name to confuse you guys. These names are: flavour enhancer, Glutamic Acid (E 620), Calcium Glutamate (E 623), Magnesium Glutamate (E 625) .. list goes on So, look for vegan MSG-free dashi powder that is made from kelp and shiitake mushrooms. Many of Yoshiko's cooking class attendees who weren't fans of miso soup before fell in love with hers - all thanks to her delicious MSG-free non fishy Dashi✨
