Domain Insight is proud to announce we have extended our relationship with the Victorian Government for another 11 years, continuing to deliver a robust and effective computer assisted mass appraisal land valuation system. This system provides a fully centralised annual revaluation programme producing three values (Land, Capital Improved and Net Annual Value) across more than 3.4 million assessments/properties per annum. Our contract renewal with the Valuer-General of Victoria reaffirms that Victorians recognise the importance of leveraging modern technology for better financial and housing policy outcomes. I had an amazing chat with Sebastien Arrue, our Head of Technology for Business Tech, about what drives him at Domain, the culture of leadership here, and how his career has grown over the years. He said, "We’re not just here to keep systems running—we’re building platforms that help the business work smarter and give our customers a better experience. When you think of what makes Domain special, it’s people like Sly Arinto, our Philippine Country Manager, who come to mind. I had a chance to sit down with her recently, and her words left me inspired. For Sly, the most rewarding part of working at Domain is the culture of trust and belonging. She said, “What I value most is the freedom to be authentic and vulnerable. It’s a safe space where open communication and diverse perspectives are celebrated—it helps me thrive both professionally and personally.” Her passion lies in developing her team. “Seeing my team grow, take on new challenges, and succeed is the best part of my job. I focus on creating a collaborative, inclusive environment where everyone feels valued. A happy, engaged team is a productive one.” Sly is also a powerful voice for mental health awareness, drawing from her own journey with depression and anxiety over the past four years. “It’s okay not to be okay. Seeking help is a courageous step, not a weakness. I’m grateful Domain provides a space where these conversations are normalised, and I hope we can continue to break the stigma.” Outside of work, Sly recharges by spending time with her dog, Frost, on adventures that remind her to embrace life’s little joys. As 2024 comes to a close, we want to take a moment to thank all our customers and partners for what’s been an amazing year at Domain. We also expanded Domain Prestige to showcase Australia’s most stunning properties, and we were thrilled when the Heeler family’s Queenslander became Bluey’s home, bringing a beloved Aussie house to life for millions of fans and introducing kids to the world of property!
