Pre-emergent Trials with Main Roads Western Australia We're three months into a trial introducing Main Roads WA to Envu’s Esplanade, a long-term pre-emergent herbicide, and the results on Western Australia's sandy soils are impressive! Esplanade is proving to be a game-changer in reducing the number of interventions needed for weed management. With its effectiveness across a wide range of target weed species, it's helping make roads safer for motorists by keeping visibility clear and reducing maintenance frequency. Not only is Esplanade saving time and money, but it's also freeing up resources so teams can focus on other critical works. A big congratulations to Brian Farrell from Greenway Weed Solutions and the dedicated team at Main Roads WA for their ongoing commitment to finding better, more sustainable ways to manage vegetation on our road networks! 👏 #GreenwayWeedSolutions #MainRoadsWA #VegetationManagement #SustainableSolutions #PreEmergent #WeedControl #EnvuEsplanade #RoadSafety #SaveTimeAndMoney #LongTermSolutions #WeedFree

This week, the Envu Melbourne team had the privilege of partnering with the Yarra Riverkeeper Association for an incredible day of community service. Together, we rolled up our sleeves to help preserve and protect a section of one of Melbourne’s most iconic waterways, the Yarra, Birrarung River. Together as we worked to remove litter from the banks of the riverbed, it was amazing to see how much can be achieved when passionate people come together for a common cause. At Envu, we're committed to making a positive impact not just through our work but by actively contributing to the communities and environments we care about. A huge thank you to the Yarra Riverkeeper team for their guidance and dedication to keeping the Yarra, Birrarung River thriving for generations to come. #Envu #EnvuANZ

On #RUOKDay, let’s recognise that mental health is just as important as physical health at work. It’s easy to get caught up in tasks and deadlines, but #RUOKDay reminds us to make time to check in with each other, today and any day. Start a conversation, be there for someone, and help them feel supported. A simple chat might be all someone needs to feel less alone. Here is a useful and practical guide you can use to help guide that conversation along in the workplace https://lnkd.in/deggfdpb

This week, members of the Envu Vegetation Management Team attended the 23rd Australasian Weeds Conference in Brisbane. This bi-annual event unites experts, researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals to discuss the latest advancements in weed science, management strategies, and policy frameworks. It's a valuable opportunity for sharing knowledge, fostering collaboration, and tackling the challenges of weed control and biodiversity conservation in Australia. Envu's U.S.-based Early Development Lead for IVM/R&P, David Spak, captivated a packed audience with his presentation on the rapid spread of invasive annual grasses in North America, their ecological impacts, and the effectiveness of indaziflam as a long-term control tool, particularly in safeguarding intact rangelands. Ciara O'Brien also presented to great applause her PhD research on using encapsulated synthetic herbicides as an innovative application method for controlling invasive weeds. We are incredibly proud of our team and their contributions to advancing the conversation on effective vegetation management and sustainable ecosystems. We look forward to continuing this important work with our industry partners, sharing insights, and improving invasive weed control practices today and into the future.

The Envu ANZ Vegetation Management team had an incredible time at the Sedan Dip in Julia Creek, Queensland, last week. It was our first time attending this iconic event, where station managers, families, and friends from around the region gathered to enjoy the races, competitions, and festivities.   As part of the event, Envu proudly sponsored the stage where attendees danced the night away to the beats of outback DJ Joe! 🎶   Our team loved connecting with locals and discussing the challenges station managers face with invasive woody weeds like prickly acacia, exploring how Envu’s Method 240SL herbicide could be a vital part of their woody weed control programs.   For us at Envu, the Sedan Dip was a key event in our regional calendar, a valuable opportunity to strengthen partnerships and support our rural customers in their fight against the challenging woody weeds that overwhelm the region.   A huge thank you to the organizing committee, especially Thea and Dudley Harrington, for their incredible support, and to Luke Spreadborough of “Spoonbill Station” for hosting this amazing event.   Thank you to everyone who visited our booth and helped make our first Sedan Dip a resounding success!   #EnvuANZ #Envu #SedanDip2024 #Method240SL

Exciting news for Envu globally - We are thrilled to share our most recent collaboration with @Bio-Gene Technology Limited, an Australian company developing the next generation of novel bioinsecticides, to evaluate Flavocide™ for use in professional pest management and #publichealth products to control #mosquitoes. Flavocide is a nature-identical product based on flavesone, a naturally occurring plant compound present in some eucalypts. The solution exhibits a new mode of action — that is, the way an insecticide controls or knocks down an insect — and is able to overcome insect resistance to current insecticidal products. Mosquitoes are constantly adapting to their environments to evade threats, making it challenging to manage the spread of serious vector-borne diseases like malaria, dengue fever and Zika virus. So, insecticide innovations — like Flavocide, that offer new modes of action — are essential to combat insecticide resistance and ensure future global food security and public health around the globe. The collaboration combines Bio-Gene’s discovery and development pipeline with our formulation expertise to maximize efficacy. Together, we have successfully evaluated several formulations of Flavocide to target mosquitoes and will continue to evaluate Flavocide for a range of professional use products so that we can continue to advance healthier environments and better control this public health pest. “We are pleased to be working with Bio-Gene to formulate and evaluate Flavocide for use in mosquito management applications,” said Bernard Jacqmin, senior vice president - head of global innovation, Envu. “Flavocide is derived from nature and, based on our testing completed to date, has demonstrated a favorable profile to combat mosquitoes. Our combined efforts are already showing promising results in the testing phase, and we are excited about the potential benefits for consumers and professionals in the field.” We look forward to continuing to work closely with partners like Bio-Gene to bring cutting-edge solutions to the market. Because only through widespread and consistent innovation with trusted partners can we Be a Force With Nature to shape a world where humanity and nature can both thrive.
