Feel the Magic

The heart of Feel the Magic are our volunteers. We are incredibly fortunate to have what we believe is Australia's most dedicated and committed group of supporters, people who show up time and again to help grieving kids. A huge thank you to former camper Olivia, and her mentor dad Tim, for arranging this fundraiser in honour of Olivia's sister, and Tim's daughter Stephanie. They raised over $6,000 getting up early on Sunday to swim in the Coles Classic with friends and family. Special thanks also go out to volunteer Shona for her exceptional fundraising effort. Feel the Magic Co-Founder and COO Kristy Thomas joins Marie Alessi 🌺 i on her podcast 'Unsilence Grief', dedicated to creating a safe space to talk about adversity - and how we healed through it. Marie is a bestselling Author, TEDx and Keynote Speaker. After her husband unexpectedly passed from a brain aneurysm, she dedicated her life to allowing healing, and creating happiness for her young family. Becoming a widow at the age of 45 was nothing Marie had anticipated. Having a very different approach to grief, she started sharing her story in a few books, and well featured publications. Our final Camp Magic for 2024 was held 6-8 December in Sydney and it was a magical weekend. We had many of our "OG" volunteers return to camp, those who have been with us since the beginning, and we welcomed many new ones. We have an exceptional community of engaged volunteers, and we are so thankful for their ongoing support. We saw returning and new campers forge strong bonds over a very hot and humid weekend, and our core values of Empathy, Empowerment, Growth & Connection in action. Lastly to our sponsors, thank you.
