As we lift out our 75t excavator, we come to the end of another amazing project. This one was for TP Dynamics Pty Ltd. Hundreds of piles, thousands of squares of shot crete and the best part of 20k of material removed to enable the construction of a masterpiece to come, for our little city in the hills. We learned a lot on this project with many challenges faced. Environment, ground conditions, weather and the challenges our small littles city presents with access and other restrictions we faced. It has been just over twelve months since we mobilised to commence the demolition and transitioned immediately into the shoring and bulk excavations for the little gem. We introduced secant piling on this project for a complete retention system, and it was very successful, at just over fourteen meters deep for a four level basement carpark. Works were executed by our own team and our own drill rigs and the results speak for themselves. We are not a company that has a desire for recognition or public admiration, but this one will not be forgotten and the team was exceptional , and the collaboration between G&H and TPD was next to none. If it isn’t difficult or presenting challenges, you ain’t growing as a person or company. Welcome the tough ones and, learn, implement and grow. Exciting news from our Brisbane office! We're thrilled to welcome our newest Geotechnical Engineer Seth Macute to the Fortify Geotech team! Seth recently graduated from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee, with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He’s already making an impact, diving into projects such as: 🪨 A geotechnical investigation for proposed modular buildings at Horizon Shores Marina 🪨 A Level 1 controlled fill assessment for a residential development in Maroochydore 🪨 A geotechnical investigation for a proposed retaining wall at Cazna Gardens in Sunnybank Seth loves the variety of sites he gets to explore and the tangible difference his work makes in the community. Outside of work you’ll find him playing tennis, or discovering all that Australia has to offer.
