🚨 Exciting news! The European Commission has selected 85 innovative net-zero projects under the 2023 Innovation Fund (IF), awarding €4.8 billion. This is the IF’s largest granting pot since its launch. 🌍💡 📍 The projects selected are spread across 18 countries, and are set to significantly reduce CO₂ emissions by tackling an estimated 476 Mt of CO₂ equivalent emissions over the first 10 years. 🏆 Out of the 85 successful innovative net-zero projects, 16 were selected in the field of industrial carbon management, ranging from cement and lime, (bio)-refineries, chemicals, and waste-to-energy. ⏳ The next call for proposals under the innovation fund is expected to launch in early December 2024. #NetZero #InnovationFund #ClimateAction #EU 👉 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eysAagDC

📢 On 15 October, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK) announced up to EUR 2.8 billion in funding to support 15 national companies in their decarbonisation efforts. 🌍💶 The funding was granted under the first round of the climate protection contracts, designed to boost new technologies and build infrastructure to support carbon neutrality by 2045. The subsidy, which is set to be paid out over a 15-year contract period, will help industries like glass, ceramics, paper, pulp, and chemicals to cover the extra costs of transitioning to greener processes, targeting a reduction of 17 Mt of emissions 💡♻️ Preparations for a second funding round, including CCS projects, are already underway! 🔋💼 #Decarbonisation #ClimateAction #Sustainability #NetZero Read more here 👇 https://lnkd.in/e64QJNvK
