Award-winning CEO | Founder GRP Speech Pathology | Speaker on leadership, business and female founders | Empowering speech pathologists and clients to reach their full potential

Next week, the GRP Speech Pathology team and I will be flying to Sydney to attend the Australian Disability Services Awards. I am thrilled that GRP Speech Pathology is a finalist in two award categories this year, marking our fourth consecutive year as finalists! This recognition is a testament to the dedication, expertise, and compassion of our team, who create magic and facilitate empowerment for our clients every single day. At GRP Speech Pathology, we’re here for two reasons: First, to deliver high-quality, compassionate care that genuinely impacts the lives of people we work with. We’re committed to giving our clients the tools, strategies, and support they need to thrive—whether it’s helping a child say their first words, supporting an adult in creating functional communication skills, or building confidence in everyday interactions. Second, we’re here to create a thriving workplace where Speech Pathologists actively choose to work. Our priority is to foster an environment where our team feels valued, supported, and empowered to grow. GRP Speech Pathology is more than a workplace; it’s a community built on care, collaboration, support and mutual respect, where people strive to build long-term careers and make a lasting impact. I’m incredibly proud of our skilled Speech Pathologists and administration team, whose dedication shines through in everything we do. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey. I look forward to celebrating with all of the inspiring industry leaders and One Community at the ADSCA awards next week. Congratulations to all the fellow finalists! See you soon! #SpeechPathology #DisabilitySupport #HealthcareLeadership #AustralianDisabilityServicesAwards #ThrivingWorkplace #GRPSpeechPathology #MakingADifference #OneCommunity

Award-winning CEO | Founder GRP Speech Pathology | Speaker on leadership, business and female founders | Empowering speech pathologists and clients to reach their full potential

I had the pleasure of being a panelist at the One Community Success Circle a few weeks ago, discussing contemporary leadership alongside some truly esteemed leaders in the healthcare industry; Mark Woodland, Ben Spooner, Phil Hayes-Brown and Greg Gunther. A resonating sentiment shared by Phil Hayes-Brown was likening his workforce to a sports team, with both leaders and care teams as coaches. This metaphor perfectly captured the essence of empowering teams, bringing everyone on the journey—including our clients, towards shared success. We also explored the unique challenges of balancing generational considerations in leadership. Navigating these complexities while maintaining the overall viability of business is no small feat. I believe its all about motivating the younger generation without compromising workplace values or productivity—a delicate balance that requires creative, nuanced solutions. At GRP Speech Pathology, I strive to implement solutions that “kill three birds with one stone,” simplifying challenges without sacrificing effectiveness. What stood out to me most was our collective emphasis on emotional intelligence. While EQ is critical for any leader, it can’t stand alone and must be complemented by strategic thinking, innovation, and a deep understanding of team dynamics. It was an enriching experience to connect with such inspirational leaders. Thank you to One Community Amy Winters Brigid Walsh and Kellie Puxty & Shelley Youman for having me; the conversations we had will no doubt continue to shape my approach to leadership even further. #Leadership #ContemporaryLeadership #Healthcare #TeamEmpowerment #GRPSpeechPathology

Everyone has bad days, but bad days don’t have to be contagious. AT GRP, we deliberately display a helpful, respectful attitude on the outside, and maintain that attitude throughout the conversation. 🤍 Although this benefits others, it will benefit you, as well. Positive thinking and a good attitude help better your psychological well-being and help you overcome hurdles. 🏋️ When you display a good attitude, the people around you will as well, making it easier to communicate and work better together. 🌈
