Healthcare Australia are proud to deliver Virtual Mental Health Psychology Services to those living in Residential Aged Care Homes within the Western NSW region. This program, fully funded by the Western NSW Primary Health Network, is designed to address the gap in mental health support for RACH residents, particularly in regional and remote areas.   Acknowledging the key role RACH team members play in the mental wellness of their residents, Healthcare Australia have developed a series of comprehensive, freely accessible online educational modules for eligible RACH staff and homes.   Under the expert guidance of our Lead Psychologist, Sam Mary Moscovitz, we designed 7 modules addressing key topics: 1.   Transitioning into Residential Aged Care 2.   Depression and Anxiety in Residential Aged Care 3.   Promoting Mental Wellness in Residential Aged Care 4.   End of Life Care in Residential Aged Care 5.   Behavioural Management 6.   Introduction to Trauma Informed Care in Older Persons 7.   Communication Strategies to Address Stigma in RACH Residents   We are immensely proud of this initiative and confident that it will significantly bolster the capability of RACH staff to support the mental health needs of their residents.
