Sad to be missing out on the Rozelle Parklands opening but had a friend who took some great pictures of people enjoying the space. Makes all the work and effort for many teams, over many stages and for almost a decade, worthwhile.

A couple of sneak peaks of the Rozelle Parklands, opening this weekend. The ~10 hectare project has over 3000 trees and some landscape elements that will be fascinating to see mature among all the new recreation spaces and path network. The images show: a) the junction of 3 types of urban green infrastructure (green walls, planting over an underground structure, and plantings on the pedestrian/cyclist land bridge), b) a view across the new wetlands to the ANZAC Bridge and Sydney CBD, and c) the reverse view from the ANZAC Bridge to Rozelle, showing how the green walls and other panels mitigate the scale and form of the ventilation structures against the neighbourhood background. The trees on the bridge are Banksia integrifolia, planted into a soil mix designed with consideration for both the weight loading and the growing conditions that this species prefers. Rozelle Parklands Grand Opening Announcement We've reached the moment we've all been waiting for! This Sunday, December 17th, marks the grand opening of the iconic Rozelle Parklands, a testament to the unwavering dedication of the entire NSW team at HL Landscapes. This remarkable Civil Landscape project has given rise to nearly 10 hectares of lush green open spaces, complete with captivating wetland areas, vibrant playgrounds, winding bike tracks, invigorating exercise areas, and top-notch sporting fields. For all of us at HL Landscapes, this is a moment of immense pride, as we eagerly anticipate welcoming the public to witness our expertise in landscape construction. Keep an eye out for forthcoming images and videos that will offer a closer look at this extraordinary masterpiece.

That's why we recently hosted an invaluable seminar by MATES in Construction, a beacon of hope and support in our industry. About Mates in Construction Founded in 2008, Mates in Construction is an industry-based charity with a vital mission: to combat the alarmingly high suicide rates in the Australian construction sector. Their unique and compelling approach creates a network of volunteers trained to recognize signs of mental distress and offer a helping hand. They're not just colleagues but mates looking out for each other. The seminar was an eye-opener. It highlighted the often-overlooked mental health challenges faced by those in construction. Through interactive sessions, our team learned how to spot the subtle signs of a mate struggling and the best ways to offer support. It was a reminder that behind every hard hat is a human heart, and every construction site can be a place of compassion and care. We're more than just a landscaping company. We're a community that cares deeply about our people. We pledge to continue promoting mental health awareness and ensuring that HL Landscapes is not just a workplace but a safe space for all.
