The Cocoon is Featured in The Design Files We are over the moon to have our beautiful Cocoon featured in the Design Files! Young people who have experienced unimaginable traumas need therapeutically designed homes which can assist their recovery! Our new residents have been totally blown away with how much thought and attention has gone into their new homes and our communal spaces. Seeing their faces light up when they see their homes is amazing! Creating these beautiful spaces was made possible through the radical collaboration of numerous people and businesses who have donated time and products! The design and furnishing was overseen by the hugely talented Valerie Mack and our Partnerships Coordinator Jenna Wilson Huge thanks to The Design Files and Lucy Feagins, Bea Taylor, Christina Karras, Eve Wilson from the Design Files team! This beautiful mural at The Cocoon, our housing partnership with Bridge It is designed and created by Emma Hollingsworth. Emma is a Kaanju, Kuku Ya’u, Girramay woman who grew up in tropical far north Queensland. Her works are a reflection of her heritage, culture, and her own story, as she channels her youthfulness through the use of vibrant colours and designs. Thank you DuluxGroup who kindly funded this work.

We continue to support HousingFirst residents with a number of events including week school holidays art activities at Galada, a working bee and BBQ at Marlborough, and Supper Club continues!
