What do people expect from the Dairy industry? James McRae's family have been farming the same land for generations, they're continually learning and evolving. They know that it's important to care for their environment, that they responsibly use water, that their animals are well cared for, and that they are looking at ways to reduce their emissions. Such a privilege to get to spend time with James and his family. Dairy Australia NSW Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development

By the age of 20, Danny Thomas had lived in 20 homes - that ability to meet new people and build rapport would be a vital tool in building his career success. I really enjoyed the chance to understand more about Danny's back story, his childhood connection to Ulupna Island that would become cornerstone to his own Farming interests, the career journey so far, his advice to young people, and the realities of what it takes to be elite in your chosen field. Mike Casey believes there is potential for "farmers to build the cheapest electricity system in the world" In his early twenties, Mike saw a gap in his early twenties to better connect graduates to the world of work. That venture with a couple of mates would come to a close in 2019 when they sold the business to SEEK. Looking for a change in his family's life, they headed home to New Zealand, and his expertise in technology and business would be transferred and applied at the cross section of agriculture and energy. Today he has established a fully electric operation and we were lucky enough to have the chance to check out Forest Lodge Orchard in early 2024 and see what is possible - amazingggg!! We cover in this chat: 🤝 The importance of trust in business partnerships 🚀 The importance of luck, tenacity and bravery as an entrepreneur 👣 The challenges and rewards of changing industries and professions 📈 Electrification to reduce costs and improve margins Receiving comments from friends over in NZ like the ones below are amazing!
