And a business that stands the test of time. The Icon business has expanded through a blend of strong organic growth, strategic mergers, acquisitions and investments. In 2015, Icon became part of Kajima Corporation, an $11 billion Japanese powerhouse with 17,000 employees across 20 countries, which gave it the financial strength that sets it apart in a competitive market. Now, the Icon Group comprises Icon Developments; Barpa, a proud and dynamic Australian indigenous construction company; Minicon, a construction company specialising in smaller and bespoke delivery of residential, commercial and institutional projects. Backed by our parent company, our financial and technical strength, depth of sector experience and capacity to deliver projects at various scales has propelled our business into the top-tier construction market. Creativity, innovation and continuous improvement are the key to our success, enabling us to develop entrepreneurial solutions for clients to minimise risk in terms of safety, certainty and commercials. In 2024, Australia and the Solomon Islands launched a groundbreaking initiative to increase the number of qualified women entering the male-dominated construction sector in the Solomon Islands. The Green Construction Training Program was designed to equip 20 women with essential skills and certifications in construction and solar power systems. Through the program, participants earned a Certificate II in Construction via the Australia Pacific Training Coalition and completed a one-month course on solar panel design, installation, and maintenance at the Solomon Islands National University. The program has been life-changing for women like Daisy. After completing her training, she received a scholarship to pursue a Certificate III in Carpentry. Upon graduation, she joined Reeves, where she gained hands-on experience in safety protocols and site management. In October 2024, Daisy took the next step in her career, securing a role on the Australian-funded Naha Birthing and Urban Health Centre project, delivered through the Australia–Solomon Islands Infrastructure Program as part of the #SiAusPartnership. We’re proud to support the next generation of infrastructure meres!

On the 26th of January, it is essential to reflect on the significance of this date in Australia’s shared histories. Whilst there is much to celebrate about the country we live in, we recognise that for First Nations individuals and communities, the date is particularly challenging. While the Icon Group does not officially endorse or celebrate this day in a historical capacity, the 26th of January is a designated national public holiday. We remain committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace where everyone feels valued and supported. We encourage you to use this day as an opportunity to reflect on our shared histories, deepen your cultural understanding, and engage meaningfully with the experiences of First Nations peoples. Many events and activities across the country provide opportunities to learn, connect, and celebrate the contributions of First Nations communities.

The Icon Reeves Envico Joint Venture is proud to be delivering the $73 million upgrade of the Wodonga Wastewater Treatment Plant—a critical infrastructure project that will increase treatment capacity to support regional growth and reduce carbon emissions. A significant milestone has now been reached, with one of the new lagoons being filled in preparation for the installation of its floating cover next year. This marks a major step forward in the project, with water now flowing through one of the inlet pipes for the first time. Yesterday we welcomed Acting Minister for Housing and Building Hon. Melissa Horne and Member for Albert Park, Nina Taylor MP to the site, where construction has officially begun on 408 new modern, accessible, energy-efficient, and sustainable homes. At Icon, we’re proud to be part of this transformative redevelopment under the innovative Ground Lease Model, working alongside Tetris Capital, Community Housing Ltd, and Homes Victoria to deliver better housing outcomes for Victorians. This project represents a 46% boost in social housing on site, with more than 200 social and affordable homes replacing 89 homes that no longer meet modern standards. The new homes will provide vital housing. With a focus on sustainability, the homes will achieve a 5-star Green Star rating and an average NatHERS rating of 7-stars, reducing energy bills while improving comfort. We’re also thrilled to play a role in delivering housing that supports diverse households, including Specialist Disability Accommodation for high physical support needs, landscaped open spaces, and a multi-purpose community room. This redevelopment is just 3km from Melbourne’s CBD, close to transport, schools, and services, making it a vital part of the Victorian Government’s $6.3 billion commitment to deliver more than 13,300 social and affordable homes across the state. #BarakBeacon #GroundLeaseModel #SocialHousing #AffordableHousing #IconConstruction #Sustainability #CommunityBuilding

This year, we wanted our Christmas gifts to do more than just spread holiday cheer—we wanted them to make a difference. That’s why we partnered with Fruit2WorkAus to deliver gifts to some of our partners and clients. Fruit2Work isn’t just about fresh produce. They’re a social enterprise creating real opportunities for people who’ve been impacted by the justice system, helping them build a brighter future. It feels good to know that while we’re saying “thank you” to the people who support us, we’re also supporting a cause that changes lives. #creatingpossiblities #SocialImpact #ChristmasWithPurpose #Fruit2Work
