We are People Who Build.

About us

At ADCO, we’ve been ‘people who build’ since our very first project back in 1972. In the 50 years since, we’ve grown to become one of Australia’s largest private builders. We remain 100% Australian-owned and are hugely proud of our heritage which has been steered by the values of family, trust and honesty. Each year, our national presence and commitment to excellence sees us entrusted to deliver many of Australia’s most iconic community projects. This includes state-of-the-art hospitals, schools, sporting facilities and major retail centres. Yet for all our growth and success, it isn’t the projects that define the ADCO Way. Rather, it’s the people and partnerships we build along the way that continue to make us the ‘builder of choice’ for our clients, our consultants, our contractors and our people. It’s also why we retain high levels of repeat business among major private and institutional corporates, as well as federal, state and local government agencies. Today, our award-winning capabilities extend across the complete non-residential construction sector including education, commercial, health, retail, aviation, leisure, aquatic, community, defence, rail and transport. Our projects are delivered via early contractor involvement, design and construct, managing contractor, and traditional construction methods of procurement. As we move into our second half-century, our foundations have never been stronger – nor our focus clearer. We’re excited to build the next generation of success for our clients, our people and, of course, the Australian communities we serve.

Community has been central to the ADCO story for over 50 years and we are proud to have recently delivered an important piece of housing infrastructure for the Queensland Government Department of Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public Works. The Mari-Mari Ba project located at Eight Mile Plains, a southern suburb of Brisbane City consisted of the revitalisation of a centre that has provided refuge for vulnerable women and Children in Queensland for over half a century. The development undertaken by our people added seven two story buildings to the existing site with four homes in each which is surrounded by shared landscaped open space. An integrated communal hub has provided space for essential support services with another five homes located above the hub. In the landscaped surroundings there are sheltered BBQ facilities, a yarning circle and parking facilities. We are honoured that the project was recognised at the 2024 Master Builders Awards picking up the Community Service Facilities Award, further highlighting ADCO's commitment to excellence in construction. It has been great to work with our client, trade partners and consultants on this project that will continue to aid vulnerable women and children seeking assistance in our community. #ADCO #QLDGovernment #housing #community #construction #project #peoplewhobuild

Our Victorian branch recently hosted their much anticipated #LittlePeopleWhoBuild day at the Kennedy Community Centre, a project we are proudly constructing for the Hawthorn Football Club. This special day is one we all look forward to, as it gives our kids a chance to come to work, see what Mum and Dad do, and get a glimpse into the world of construction. Our Little People Who Build were treated to a day filled with fun activities, games, delicious food, and an exciting tour of the worksite—complete with a close-up look at the construction machinery. Alfie, our office support dog also got in on the action, wearing his Hawks jumper and receiving lots of pats and treats from the little ones. A huge thank you to our incredible team and the Hawthorn Football Club (also donating footballs to the little ones) for making this day a memorable experience for the next generation of #PeopleWhoBuild. We can't wait to see what the future holds for these little ones. #ADCO #Community #Construction #FamilyDay #BuildingForTheFuture #HawthornFootballClub

We are pleased to share that our largest project for School Infrastructure NSW (Forest High School relocation) has made significant progress recently. Our team has adopted a staged construction process to ensure the successful delivery of this important facility for our valued client. We have just passed the halfway mark for the construction of the administrative and learning building structures and have made remarkable progress on the carpark and sporting facilities. The buildings are starting to take shape, with roofing and façade work now underway. Once completed, this state-of-the-art facility will provide: ✔ Modern classrooms for up to 1,500 students ✔ A new library, canteen, and administration spaces ✔ A multi-purpose sports and performance hall ✔ Outdoor sports fields and courts ✔ Landscaped recreation and outdoor learning spaces Well done to the entire team for their hard work and dedication. We look forward to celebrating more milestones as we work to deliver a facility that meets the needs of the growing Allambie Heights community and beyond. #ADCO #SchoolInfrastructureNSW #Construction #CommunityBuilding #EducationNSW Images are the artist impression of the completed project

Recently in Sydney, we had the privilege of bringing together our talented Apprentices, Cadets, and Graduates from across the country as a national peer group for ADCO’s 2024 NextGen Forum. This is an amazing opportunity for attendees, providing them exposure to senior leaders, informative presentations and site visits of some of our largest and most complex projects. Thank you to our Managing Director, Neil Harding, for sponsoring this event, and to the NSW team hosting the forum and site tours. We also extend our gratitude to our Next Gen attendees, guest speakers, state champions, site visit project teams, and everyone who contributed to making these couple of days so rewarding. We are thrilled to support your development journey here as part of the ADCO family and can’t wait to see what the future holds for all of you. We are proud to announce the graduation and promotion of Nathan Clarke and Tanya Walsh, the first two graduates of ADCO’s HSE Cadet Program. Nathan and Tanya both joined the ADCO family with a passion for pursuing careers in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), and our Cadet Program was the perfect fit to support their goals alongside their Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety studies. Through ADCO’s HSE Cadet Handbook of Competencies, they gained valuable hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure across the business. We are thrilled to share that Nathan and Tanya have been promoted to the full responsibilities of HSE Advisor role. Nathan is working within our NSW team while Tanya took advantage of ADCO’s relocation opportunities during her cadetship transferring from NSW to WA where she completed her cadetship and now takes on one of the HSE Advisor roles on our projects. A huge congratulations to Nathan and Tanya on these fantastic achievements. We are excited to see the impact they will continue to make in their new roles as part of ADCO’s ongoing commitment to health, safety, and environment. #PeopleWhoBuild #ADCO #HSE #CareerDevelopment #BuilderOfChoice #Mentorship #CareerGrowth

Earlier this month, we celebrated a significant moment for the Kingston community with the SOD turning ceremony for the new Mordi Aquatic Centre. Our ADCO team, along with Mayor Jenna Davey-Burns, Councillors Tracey Davies, Chris Hill, Hadi Saab, Georgina Oxley, and David Eden, joined Mark Dreyfus MP, the Community Reference Group, and other local community members to officially kick off construction. This project marks the City of Kingston's largest initiative to date, and we are thrilled to be part of this transformative development, which will serve as a hub for community engagement and wellness. Construction is set to ramp up next month at the Governor Road site, with an expected completion in mid-2026. A huge thank you to everyone involved in the front-end stages of this project—we look forward to seeing the Mordi Aquatic Centre become a vibrant community asset. ADCO was thrilled to recently welcome the Minister for Police, the Hon. Anthony Carbines MP, and members of the City of Casey to our site to kick off the Clyde North Police Station Project. This project is set to deliver a state-of-the-art facility and we are excited to collaborate with Victoria Police, our consultants, and trade partners on this important initiative. During the Minister's visit, our experience in successfully delivering projects alongside existing facilities was acknowledged, reinforcing our aspiration to be the #BuilderofChoice. In addition to our construction efforts, we believe in building community connections. Yesterday, we hosted a site BBQ to raise funds for the Blue Ribbon Foundation, which honours the memory of Victoria Police members who have died in the line of duty by supporting vital community projects across Victoria. ADCO is proud to contribute to this worthy cause and strengthen our ties with Victoria Police. A big thank you to: | Turner & Townsend | City of Casey | Foreground Architecture | Meinhardt Group | #ADCO #CommunityEngagement #ClydeNorthPoliceStation #BuilderOfChoice #BlueRibbonFoundation
