With over 90% of Aussie households grabbing a bunch during their weekly grocery shop, it’s really no surprise that people go absolutely bananas for bananas. Fortunately, our Produce Partners at Premier Fresh Australia help us meet the demand! Premier Fresh Australia has been supplying their premium Cavendish bananas to ALDI customers since we first opened our doors in Australia, way back in 2001. In this video, Head Grower Mark Smith talks through how they get 8.5 million kilos of banana from the farm to ALDI customers every year. The International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) ANZ hosted a lively networking event for its members alongside the premier IFPA Global Produce & Floral Show in the U.S. The IFPA ANZ team was delighted to welcome key member companies from the export and supply chain sectors, including Austrade, to the event. Held at the picturesque SkyLounge at The Glenn Hotel in Atlanta, guests enjoyed Welcome Drinks and a selection of gourmet, Atlanta-inspired canapés, including cucumber with hummus, chicken satay sticks, fried chicken, beef sliders, and a cheese charcuterie board. For dessert, attendees indulged in chocolate fondue with cake, marshmallows, and strawberries.
