We're an NFP that tackles social issues and empowers the social impact sector through the smart use of technology.

About us

Infoxchange is a not-for-profit social enterprise that has been delivering technology for social justice for over 30 years. With over 180 staff across Australia and New Zealand, we tackle the biggest social challenges through the smart and creative use of technology. We work with community, government and corporate partners to solve issues around homelessness, family violence, mental health and disability, as well as supporting Indigenous communities, women, youth and families. Our products and services are used by over 25,000 government and community services. We provide the right tools to improve efficiency and deliver greater impact – from nation-wide service coordination systems to IT advice for individual organisations. And through our work in digital inclusion and social innovation we use technology to empower people experiencing disadvantage, driving social inclusion and creating stronger communities. We believe no-one should be left behind in today’s digital world. In November 2018, Infoxchange joined forces with Connecting Up. Together, we are Australia and New Zealand’s leading not-for-profit dedicated to using technology to improve the lives of people experiencing disadvantage and the organisations that support them. Well, of course, we love this one. 🤩 Doug Taylor's (The Smith Family) OpEd in the Institute of Community Directors Australia discusses how bridging the digital divide is crucial to overcoming educational inequity caused by poverty and that if we aren't leading the charge, we're falling behind. We fully endorse this call to action for the not-for-profit sector to lean into and embrace technology for social justice. As a sector, collaboration is in our DNA, and it's by working together that we'll continue to implement innovative technology that better serves our communities and moves us closer to an equitable future. Infoxchange exists to support your not-for-profit's digital transformation. https://lnkd.in/gk2J4uUv

Good Things Australia has released a groundbreaking report into the Economic Benefits of Overcoming Digital Exclusion in Australia this morning, highlighting significant gains for the nation economically if we can bridge the digital divide. Digital inclusion benefits include: - $467 million per year in economic value created, based on conservative estimates of almost 1 in 10 Aussies who are 'highly digital excluded'. Expanding estimates to all digitally excluded people would bring the economic value much higher - Increasing access to telehealth could help save $316 per person per year, and half a million GP visits in person - 4,000 people would move to a higher paid job every year - We could see more than 38,000 volunteers each year Digital technologies provide a multitude of benefits for increased economic and social inclusion, improved access to health, greater wellbeing and greater productivity. Ask Izzy has been a lifeline for families going hungry, and more families than before are seeking emergency food support. Lincoln Rothall of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) shares data that shows one in ten pregnant Australians are facing insecurity according to a new QUT survey that also found two in five were worrying about food and eating less. "We're starting to see the impact of the cost of living crisis, mortgage stress, rental stress, across all incomes," – Professor Danielle Gallegos, FDA, GAICD, QUT (Queensland University of Technology). Read how our online search tool saw over 300,000 searches for help in May, an increase of over 30% over the past 12 months. https://lnkd.in/gE4aT7m9

It's #CyberSecurityAwarenessMonth and we're continuously looking at ways to improve cyber security protections for our customers, and through educational resources for the sector more broadly. Australians lost more than $2.7 billion to scams last year (ACCC, 2024), and it's important we can help vulnerable communities at risk. We have seats available for our upcoming anti-scam series. If you're a not-for-profit staff member, we encourage you to share these sessions with your clients and network to learn how to better protect them from increasingly prevalent scams. If you'd like a facilitator for your group or community, please don't hesitate to reach out. You can enquire to access a facilitator through the link in the description of our next anti-scam session here: https://lnkd.in/gNsdkUNA Upcoming sessions: - 16th October, 11.30am-12.30pm AEDT: https://lnkd.in/gNsdkUNA - 30th October, 2.30-3.30pm AEDT: https://lnkd.in/g4QkPQPs - 12th November, 11am-12pm AEDT: https://lnkd.in/gMR-7GnR - 27th November, 12pm-1pm AEDT: https://lnkd.in/gghFxN6K #cyber #cybersecuritymonth #cybersecurity
