Our project on Russell Island, QLD, was put to the ultimate test when Cyclone Alfred tore through the area. With some external cladding still to go up and ceiling boards yet to be installed, leaving large cavities for the wind to penetrate. Understandably, our client was concerned. But we’re thrilled to report that even in the face of a tropical cyclone, there was no structural damage! All frames and trusses remained completely intact. PROJECT WIN 💯 We’re excited to announce that ISG Frames has been awarded the Light Gauge Steel Framing package for Opal Healthcare Aged Care Project in Clyde North! This facility features 160 bedrooms across three levels, along with dining areas, lounges, cafeterias, and gymnasiums to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment for residents. As part of the project, ISG Frames will be supplying and installing over 35 tonnes of lightweight steel framing, along with the necessary structural steel. 🚀 2025 is off to a great start! 🚀 We’re thrilled to share our first project of the year! ISG Frames was approached by a client on Russell Island, Queensland, to supply a frame for a single-storey house. We gladly accepted the challenge and came up with an innovative solution—eliminating nearly all the structural steel with some clever design! The logistics were tricky, especially when delivering frames from Melbourne to a remote island. But we teamed up with the incredible Australian Framing Solutions in Brisbane, and together we made it happen! The frames were delivered by crane truck on a barge, and everything went smoothly. In just 2 days, all the frames, trusses, and structural steel were successfully erected coming in under budget and way ahead of schedule. The design includes a cinema, indoor pool, outdoor spa and multiple social spaces. ISG Frames will proudly supply and install lightweight steel frames and structural steel for this incredible development.
