About us
The Light Steel Frame Association works with its members to provide access to industry contacts, technical expertise and knowledge. We also facilitate growth in market share for our members by promoting the benefits of steel frame technology. Hosted by the Light Steel Frame Association (LSFA), Focus on Framing will be taking place on Tuesday 29 March 2022 at the National Conference Centre (NCC) in Birmingham. The only specialist event of its kind, Focus on Framing provides a solution for construction professionals looking to gain a greater understanding of the latest advances and best practise principles from sector experts. Through informative speakers and case study presentations the seminar will focus on the fast-track non-combustible solutions that are having a significant impact delivering outstanding buildings across all construction sectors. Architects, engineers, specifiers and developers are looking for ways to reduce environmental impact – as the most recycled material on the planet, this event will bring to the fore steel’s sustainability credentials. Tickets are £65 + VAT for members of the LSFA and £95 + VAT for non-members which includes delegate list on arrival, entry into the seminar and exhibition, lunch and refreshments throughout the day with the additional benefit of being able to download presentations post-event.

To support the more widespread use of cold-formed, galvanized light steel, the BCSA - British Constructional Steelwork Association has launched the first National Light-Gauge Steelwork Specification (NLSS), building on the long-term proven success of the material in residential and other buildings. Led by Andrew Way, the specification sets a high standard for the production and use of light-gauge steel, providing clients, designers, contractors, and manufacturers with increased confidence in its compliance with top regulatory standards. Mace wins £93m weather centre job Mace has formally been appointed on the £92.6m main construction contract to build a new headquarters for the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECWMF). The contractor has helped draw up designs for the new building, at University of Reading Whiteknights Campus, and will start work on the project in February. Very proud to be working alongside CERT delivering our fully tested non-combustible steel framing systems for this outstanding project.
We’re officially out of the ground at Peelers! 🏗️ The steel frame is going up at our Peelers Yard development, marking an exciting milestone. This project will bring 81 modern homes, including open-plan one and two-bedroom apartments, duplex penthouses, and townhouses. Built on the historic site of a 19th-century police station, this is one of three Build-to-Rent sites in our pipeline, all of which will be fully retained and operated by our dedicated in-house residential experts. 🙌 Stay tuned for more updates as this vibrant community takes shape! 👀 #BTR #SteelFrame #ConstructionUpdate

TudorMay has secured a contract to install the drylining on an award-winning scheme in London. Regent's View, an under-construction gasworks regeneration project in Bethnal Green, includes five cylindrical buildings, with two placed inside the restored gasholder frames.
