Thank you Australian Indigenous Doctors' Association for supporting me to attend Garma festival this year. The theme for 2024 is Fire, Strength and Renewal, which was strongly represented in the panel discussions, music performances, artwork (Molly Hunt’s mural featured here), cultural dance and the way Yolngu spoke throughout the four days. This experience will forever be in my heart.

Stoked to share that I’ve completed my fellowship on transformational leadership through the International Women's Forum. It’s been an incredible journey starting last year in Oct where I met 39 inspiring fellows in Detroit, USA during the IWF global conference where I got to connect with women leading impact change all over the world. Next we completed our course at INSEAD business school in Fontainebleau, France in Feb delving into leadership across different cultural contexts. Finally we finished with the transformational leadership program at Harvard Business School last week. The professors have been amazing and I have learnt so much. Thank you to all the women that made this experience more than I could have imagined. Feeling really inspired to take what I’ve learnt back home to my communities and First Nations health. Thank you to IWF Australia for awarding me the inaugural scholarship to attend and also thank you my my community and the Elders and mob before me that have led me on this path.

Last week, the 2023-2024 IWF Leadership Fellows class completed their program year with the IWF Transformative Leadership Program at Harvard Business School. These 40 diverse women are from 13 different countries with accomplished careers leading in global corporations, entrepreneurial ventures, governments, nonprofit organizations, and higher education. The Leadership Fellows Program celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. The program addresses the three barriers to women leading at the highest level of organizations identified in 1991 by the US Glass Ceiling Commission which are still relevant today: access to business networks, leadership training, and mentors. I would never have imagined I would be attending Harvard Business School alongside some of the most incredible leaders I have met through the International Women's Forum, but here I am! Very excited for this week long intensive learning about executive leadership and building my skills to bring back home and continue the work that needs to be done with our communities ✊🏾
