Tick tock, #CLOCAPAC is off, but the party don't stop!
So good to be in Sydney this week and catch up with old friends and meet new faces. Loads of interesting and provocative discussions about the BS and the brilliant aspects of GenAI.
Some things I'll take away:
1. Eat that frog. New tech like GenAI can be both attractive and daunting. Start somewhere and experiment! Use the opportunity to learn, to understand the capabilities, strengths & limitations of the tech, to pinpoint high value use cases, and to develop the ways of working that will underpin larger scale success.
2. Accuracy really matters when it comes to legal and compliance: To deliver reliable GenAI tools for legal content, human-in-the-loop training is essential.
3. Connection makes things tick. Whether it's the relationship between legalops and the business, between a tech partner and a customer, or between a law firm and its client - trust is the underpinning element in partnerships that get big things done. And opportunities to come together and share experiences, war stories, insights (and laughs) are such an important part of fostering that connection and community.
Thank you CLOC (Corporate Legal Operations Consortium) for the great time.
See you next time, Sydney!
