⛏ Latest Bulls N' Bears feature on Kula Gold in The West Australian: 📰 'Kula to drill test two intriguing geological theories' "Kula Gold is planning a December scout drilling program at its Mustang gold project near Donnybrook in WA to probe the source of anomalous geochemistry extending over 0.8km and rock sample results to 3.5g/t #gold. The company proposes two possible models to test for the source of gold, both of which it intends to probe by reverse-circulation drilling which will be co-funded up to $180,000 under the WA government’s exploration incentive scheme (EIS). The proposal follows encouraging results from Kula’s recent exploration which employed ultra-fine soil sampling and rock-chip geochemistry, in conjunction with field mapping and geophysical interpretation. Kula has built two models for the possible primary sources of the gold anomalism at Mustang. To do so, the company used a combination of mapping, geochemistry and geophysical data, combined with structural information relating to the evolution of WA’s giant Darling Fault and nearby evidence of historic volcanic activity. The models consider a possible epithermal origin - similar to the nearby Donnybrook gold mine - or a hydrothermal model, similar to that which hosts the massive Boddington gold mine further north. The historic Camilleri gold mine at Donnybrook reported 236 ounces of gold production from the mine from 51 tons at an impressive grade of 130g/t. The old mine sits just 1.5km south of the south-western rural town of Donnybrook and 27km north along the strike of the Darling Fault from Kula’s Mustang prospect. The region more generally has been blessed with mega-gold deposits, such as Newmont’s massive Boddington gold mine about 110km north-east of Mustang which has an annual gold production of 703,000 ounces. Both of Kula’s contemplated geological models centre around the possibility of “subduction” along the Darling Fault which would provide the geological conditions required to explain the links between volcanism, hydrothermal activity and gold mineralisation along or near the surface trace of the 1200km-long fault. Management believes that the proposed RC program will clarify the distinction between the two models." 📰 Read Full Article in The West Australian: https://lnkd.in/dnkkKw8H ⛏ Kula's ASX Release: https://lnkd.in/gf-aEQNi #mining #goldexploration #exploration #bullsnbearswa #westernaustralia #thewestaustralian

⛏️ Kula Gold has secured EIS co-funding from Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety to drill the Mustang #Gold Prospect within the Company's Kirup Project. HIGHLIGHTS: 🔘 Western Australia Government’s Exploration Incentive Scheme (EIS) application is successful following rigorous independent GSWA review 🔘 50% funding of direct drilling and mobilisation costs incurred up to $180,000 🔘 Reconnaissance RC drilling programme set to commence 1 December 2024 🔘 Value accretive new target to add to the advancing Mt Palmer Gold Project 🗣 Kula Managing Director Ric Dawson commented: "The Mustang prospect has progressed from a rock chip to a fully peer reviewed high order 0.8km gold prospect that warrants RC drilling. This is Kula’s first successful EIS application and was fully developed by the in-house technical team. The model is for either an epithermal model or similar to the Donnybrook Gold Mine or a hydrothermal model similar to the Boddington Gold Mine. RC drilling will test both. The magnetic signature that is coincident and the volcanic vent nearby to these gold assays provides a geologically active period in the Yilgarn Craton and the subduction of the Darling Fault. The Cammilleri Gold Mine to the north on a similar structure produced 236 ounces from 51 tons at a grade of 130gm/t, which supports drilling this prospect. Kula is grateful for the Government Department of Mines EIS co-funding in assisting our Kirup drilling programmes." The gold prospectivity of the Mustang Prospect has also increased with the sampling of a rock outcrop in the near vicinity of the initial RC drill programme with a sample KI000154 that returned a fire assay reading with 3.5g/t gold including a rock description containing vuggy quartz, see 4th image below. ⚙ More Details: https://lnkd.in/gf-aEQNi #mining #exploration #goldexploration #WAGovernment #westernaustralia #drilling #cofunding

⛏ Latest Bulls N' Bears feature on Kula Gold in The West Australian: 📰 'Kula set to hammer new #Gold targets east of historic WA mine' "Kula Gold it is hot on the trail of what it says is an unexplored greenstone belt that lies to the east of its recently-acquired historic Mt Palmer Gold Mine site in Western Australia’s Southern Cross region – and it is preparing a drill assault to test its theory. The company plans to target the potential greenstone belt that appears to run for more than 8km to the east of the historic mine and is aptly dubbed Mt Palmer East. Management says it has unearthed the potential eastern zone from coincident geophysical surveys and previous air-core (AC) drill programs conducted across the site. It defined the highly-prospective north-to-south magnetic high from the survey. The original AC drill program on the eastern ground was completed in 1993 and targeted bedrock mineralisation for a single east-to-west, 3.5km line traverse, with varying gold grades discovered between 86m and 89m. Management says the 1m hits ranged from 0.56 grams per tonne gold up to 102g/t and that no significant basement drilling has been completed since then. It added a modest follow-up AC program was completed in 2012, however, it failed to once again properly target the fresh basement rock. The company believes there has been no reverse-circulation (RC) or diamond drilling into the underlying bedrock and it now plans to home in on the eastern area and hammer the basement rock with a significant program to explore the full potential of the promising site. 🗣 "This prospect was dismissed and subsequently overlooked due to perceived paleochannel geometry. More recent exploration also replicated the previous theory and did not explore significantly into the basement rocks for a primary source of the gold mineralisation obtained in the air-core drilling. The magnetic signature that is coincident with these gold assays warrants future drilling," Kula Gold Managing Director Ric Dawson said. The JV controls a significant portion of the eastern greenstone limb around the Ghooli Dome within the Southern Cross goldfields belt. With the price of gold hitting all-time highs in recent weeks and maintaining a heady standard of more than AU$3921 today, Kula’s decision to target an area close to an historical mineralised source could well kick some big modern-day goals." 📰 Read Full Article in The West Australian: https://lnkd.in/grf6C9Ne ⛏ Kula's ASX Release: https://lnkd.in/gYScRJgx #mining #goldexploration #exploration #bullsnbearswa #westernaustralia #thewestaustralian

⛏️ Kula Gold uncovers untested high-grade Gold drilling at new Mt Palmer East Prospect. Kula have used historical aircore and geophysical and lithological interpretations to identify a possible parallel structure over 8km in length east of Mt Palmer Gold Mine. Coarse Gold from EYX-05 had multiple repeat assays of varying highly anomalous Gold grades over 3m from 86-89m varying from 102g/t to 0.56g/t. 🗣 Kula’s Managing Director Ric Dawson comments: “This prospect was dismissed and subsequently overlooked due to perceived paleochannel geometry. More recent exploration also replicated the previous theory and did not explore significantly into the basement rocks for a primary source of the gold mineralisation obtained in the air core drilling. The magnetic signature that is coincident with these gold assays warrants future drilling. This prospect is being advanced to drill ready status for a planned RC programme." HIGHLIGHTS 🔘 Air core drilling completed in 1993/1994 by Reynolds Yilgarn Gold Operation Ltd (later purchased by Sons of Gwalia NL) performed bedrock exploration over a single E-W 3.5km line traverse 🔘 Coarse gold from EYX-05 had multiple repeat assays of varying highly anomalous gold grades over 3m from 86-89m varying from 102g/t to 0.56g/t 🔘 A coincide N-S magnetic high structure for over 8km is evident 🔘 A modest repeat air core programme in 2012 repeated the same geological model 🔘 No significant basement drilling into the subsurface has been followed up 🔘 Kula JV controls the majority of the eastern greenstone limb around the Ghooli Dome in the Southern Cross Goldfields belt 🔘 Mt Palmer #Gold Mine is ~15km from the Marvel Loch gold plant and infrastructure, and ~90km from the Edna May gold plant, which aligns with Kula’s strategy of exploring near to existing operations to fast track any discovery to monetary success. ⚙️ Full details: https://lnkd.in/gYScRJgx #mining #exploration #westernaustralia

⛏ Latest Bulls N' Bears feature on Kula Gold in The West Australian: 📰 'Kula on mission to bring historic WA Gold Mine back to life' "Kula Gold is anxiously awaiting results from two new diamond drillholes plugged into Western Australia’s historic Mount Palmer mine near Marvel Loch after testing for extensions to the orebody that was last mined in 1944. The Mount Palmer mine sits about 15km east of the Marvel Loch gold plant and infrastructure and about 90km from the Edna May gold plant. It produced more than 150,000 ounces of gold at 15.9 grams per tonne between 1934 and 1944 before closing due to labour and materials shortages caused by World War II. The mine was subsequently flooded and was never reopened, although limited exploration since then has mainly targeted shallow open-pit mining opportunities. Kula has been quick to rekindle exploration activities at the historic site after claiming 51 per cent of the operation from fellow ASX-listed junior Aurumin in late May. While awaiting the return of the diamond drilling assays, the company is also exploring four other new targets near the Mount Palmer mine. In an update released today, management says it has also obtained positive leachability indications after re-analysing selected 1m sample intervals from its previous reverse-circulation (RC) drilling at Mount Palmer, which had initially been assayed by fire assay. That repeat analysis was undertaken to resolve disparities in the initial results and involved subjecting the samples to the trademarked Leachwell digestion process and fire assay analysis of the resultant leach residue tail. The re-analysis shows significantly improved gold recovery – up to a 320 per cent grade improvement – and that the leach tails (residue after leaching) comprise low refractory material. It means feed material from mining could potentially be processed directly via a carbon-in-leach (CIL) circuit, with a reasonable expectation of a good outcome from conventional cyanide leach. The company says it considers that a bulk-leach test on a bigger sample would be justified to cement its conclusions. 🗣 "The diamond core had excellent recovery and will provide excellent structural data for analysis on this exciting high-grade project last mined in 1944. Excellent new prospects such as the El Dorado (6m @ 8.3g/t gold from 28m including 1m @ 45.4g/t gold from 30m with no follow-up) are being advanced to drill-ready status for a planned RC program," Kula Gold Managing Director Ric Dawson said. 📰 Read Full Article in The West Australian: https://lnkd.in/gbUWMt3e ⛏ Kula's ASX Release: https://lnkd.in/eDvSPifh #mining #goldexploration #exploration #drilling #bullsnbearswa #westernaustralia #thewestaustralian #diamonddrilling
