A lot has changed since our last Kathleen Valley Paste Plant update, with construction on track and commissioning commenced. All structural and mechanical installations for the filter building and water services are complete, with both switch rooms installed and power to both transformers. The filter feed tank has been painted and internally lined and the belt filters are fully installed with belts spliced. Factory acceptance testing of both paste pumps has been completed with successful results, and the mixer building is structurally complete, with day bins, chutes, hoppers and tanks already in position. Piping and electrical works are ongoing and progressing rapidly. In another exciting milestone for our Kathleen Valley Lithium Project, the first spodumene-bearing pegmatite was recently intercepted in the Mt Mann underground development. Watch as the first development ore exits the underground portal and is stockpiled on our ROM pad, alongside the ore from our open pit. Ore drive development, which is the process of developing underground tunnels (drives) to access and extract the ore, will commence in the coming weeks. We are proud to share that first spodumene concentrate has been produced at our world-class Kathleen Valley Lithium Project, delivered on schedule mid-2024. Following progressive commissioning of the process plant, ore has been processed through the crushing, milling and flotation circuit, culminating in the first product produced. This achievement continues our track record of delivering major project milestones on schedule and marks the start of production ramp-up to nameplate throughput of 3Mtpa. Today we released the Liontown Resources Quarterly Activities Report for the FY24 June Quarter, sharing substantial progress at Kathleen Valley with first production imminent. Our stand-alone ore sorting pilot plant has been running for a couple of months and has impressed us with its potential at this early stage in the project. Through this program, we treat off-spec ore from our mining activities to remove deleterious materials and lift the grade so the material can become part of our clean ore inventory. This rock would otherwise become part of our waste stockpile. We commenced ore sorting ahead of first production to ensure we maximise the return from our mining activities and develop our natural resources responsibly by reducing the impact on the environment and minimising waste from the outset. #LTR #Mining #Lithium #CriticalMinerals #OreSorting #Ore #Sustainability

We wrapped up NAIDOC Week at Kathleen Valley over the weekend with a jam-packed program that celebrated the culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. From prepping damper and digging for honey ants to feasting on Marlu (kangaroo) cooked on an open fire, discovering art and bush medicine and rocking out to Desert Road Band, there was so much activity for everyone to join in and be a part of.
