At LUYTEN® we are proud to fund top notch exceptional researchers. Australian Research Council linkage grants are the most competitive in Australia. We congratulate our research Partners at Swinburne University of Technology on the successful grant application Dr Mohamed Gomaa , Prof John Evans , Prof. Blair Kuys , Dr Kate Dunn , Prof Jay Sanjayan . We look forward to the great results Dr Gomaa and his team will bring to this new field placing Australia at the pinnacle of this field worldwide. #ARCLinkage #3dcp #innovation #Australia #technology #impact #circulareconomy #3dprinting #construction #robotics #science #materials #manufacturing #luyten #technology #additive #tech
Lecturer in Architectural Engineering. Specialised in digital manufacturing of earth-based materials
What a fantastic way to wrap up a fruitful year! I am absolutely proud to announce that my team’s ARC Linkage Project application has been successful! Even more rewarding, our project is the only successful one from the Built Environment & Design sector across Australia, and the only one awarded at Swinburne University of Technology. SoDA Swinburne Project Team: Dr. Mohamed Gomaa, Prof. Jay Sanjayan , Prof. Blair Kuys, Dr. Kate Dunn, Prof. John Evans This project is in collaboration with, and co-funded by, our industry partner LUYTEN® , who is generously contributing further cash and in-kind support to ensure the success of this research. The project will leverage Luyten’s extensive range of large-scale 3D printing systems, enabling us to push the boundaries of what’s possible in earth-based construction. Special thanks to Luyten’s CEO Ahmed Mahil MIEAust for supporting and believing in the project. Our project, titled "Multi-feed system for 3D printing of fibrous earth for social housing," aims to drive innovation in digital manufacturing and 3D printing with earth-based materials. The project focuses on developing systematic methodologies for processing fibrous earth materials for 3D construction printing, utilising a multi-feed extrusion approach for engineered earth mixtures.
