The other week, our LuminaX 2024 team had a much needed picnic/ beach catch up after such a good demo day!🏖 I love hearing about how far they had come, what they are up to now and hearing about exciting their new chapters!🐣 (...as if it hasn't been like 1 month). But what I was most excited to see is how everyone is genuinely good friends with each other. Its amazing what a 14 week intensive program can do. As founders, they all bonded, struggled and then thrived together! So incredibly proud of what they all have achieved🙌 Although a few couldn't make a long drive and a few aren't in the pics, we had such a good turnout! I don't post much on LinkedIn, but here goes. It has been 2 weeks since the completion of the LuminaX Healthtech Accelerator - LX Health, and I've had some time to distill my thoughts. It will be hard to articulate it succinctly, but I'll try. What an incredible 3 and a bit months. Whilst I spent most of it remote (down in Vic), it didn't detract from the experience as a whole. Rather than get all wordy, I'll summarise. - The LX Health Team are incredible. You all did such a phenomenal job with the mentors and coaches, and everything worked seamlessly. Dren Xërxa Georgia Wyllie Ben Howe Janine McQueen - The 2024 Cohort - You all rock. Being given the opportunity to meet other like-minded people who are risking it all to make a difference in the world is truely inspiring. Some life long friends here for sure. Do it. And make sure, regardless of where you are at in your journey, that you apply for the LuminaX Accelerator program. It will have a huge impact in your velocity and provide you with a tonne of opportunities at your finger tips. Lastly, super proud of the Bloody Good Tests team. It has been a wild 3 months, but super excited for what the future holds for us.  Also super stoked to have won the Startup of the Year award!

Last week LX Health hosted its LARGEST startup pitch event at Miami Marketta on the Gold Coast.🌴The highly anticipated event #soldout two weeks in advance drawing nearly 300 attendees and attracting 260 livestream viewers. 🚀 With industry experts, hospital executives, founders, supporters and 40+ investors in the room, the evening was buzzing as it marked the culmination of the LuminaX HealthTech Accelerator’s 2024 cohort. 🚀 Dala made it to the LX Health Final Demo Night 💥 It was a spectacular evening for the Dala team as we celebrated three months of growth, mentorship, and coaching at LX Health. A huge thank you to everyone who made this journey a success, with special thanks to Dren Xërxa, Georgia Wyllie, and our wonderful coach Silvia Pfeiffer. Dala is a collaboration between the award winning mental health innovators at Mettlesome and the digital venture studio Josephmark. We are building the world’s most personalised mental well-being app for individuals and communities. Dala combines evidence-based resources, curated by AI-enhanced insights, to help you understand yourself, your emotions, and build the skills for a better life experience. We are reimagining mental health support, making it accessible and effective for everyone. We’re grateful for the invaluable lessons and support from the LX Health accelerator that will contribute to the success of Dala. Especially, Silvia Pfeiffer’s guidance has been amazing, helping Dala grow with her expertise and support. Connecting with other 10 outstanding health tech startups has been incredibly inspiring. Aaaaannnnd that's a wrap! Last night was demo day for the LX Health LuminaX accelerator. 11 startups. 3 months. Tonnes of learnings. I feel so lucky to call these incredible startup founders my friends. The work they are doing in healthtech - to save and improve human lives - is inspiring.
