Following a successful pilot in 2023, the leadership and food safety training program has expanded across Queensland. In partnership with the Food Industries Association of Queensland (FIAQ), the program, funded by the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training's VET Emerging Industries Initiative, aims to enhance career development for food processing supervisors. More than 35 individuals completed the pilot, and with the funding extension, 80 more will benefit. The project addresses a critical skills gap in Queensland’s largest manufacturing sub-industry.
