Future Proofing Queensland Manufacturing

About us

Manufacturing Skills Queensland (MSQ) is an independent body building a sustainably skilled workforce for a future-proofed manufacturing industry. We’re here to connect and support you and the broader industry with the skills, opportunities, and information to build a thriving future in manufacturing. Established and funded under the Queensland Government’s Making it in Queensland: Building a Stronger Manufacturing Sector policy in 2022, our vision is to create the skills pathways for the future of manufacturing in Queensland. Manufacturing is vital to Queensland. Our aim is to ensure the industry has a diverse workforce with the skills and capabilities to embrace new and emerging technologies and respond to economic opportunities or challenges vital to improving productivity and global competitiveness. We want to ensure there's a place for everyone in Queensland manufacturing. Four strategic pillars guide our work: 1. Attracting, retaining, and developing capability; 2. Partnering with purpose 3. Credible authority and 4. Sustainability. MSQ is at the beginning of our work and we're eager to engage with industry.
