The demand story is all about the rise of solar, which now accounts for 232 Moz of demand annually, or about 20% of the market. This seems unlikely to abate any time soon, and supply is flatlining. With the market in deficit for three years, it's a compelling but overlooked thematic. I buy my kids silver every Christmas (as well as a 'normal' present!) with the idea of demonstrating how tangible assets can appreciate... it's been a long wait, but looks like it's time to let them know! Manuka Resources has received firm commitments from a number of new and existing sophisticated investors to raise approximately $2.5 million cash together with $2.5 million debt conversion for a total placement of approximately $5 million. Manuka will also offer eligible shareholders in Australia and New Zealand the opportunity to subscribe for up to $30,000 worth of new shares under a share purchase plan (SPP). The company aims to raise up to a further $1 million under the SPP.
