🩹 Wound Awareness Week is here, and it's an important time to focus on the signs of non-healing wounds and the steps to take to seek help. At Medstock, we're committed to educating both our staff and the community on how to recognise these signs early and take proactive measures. 🚨 Signs of a non-healing wound include persistent redness and swelling, increasing pain, delayed healing, excessive drainage, changes in color, reopening of the wound, fever or chills, lack of new tissue formation, or non-viable tissue. Recognising these signs early is crucial for effective treatment and recovery. 📢 Join us this week in raising awareness and spreading the knowledge that can make a difference in the lives of those affected by chronic wounds. Together, we can help more wounds heal and improve lives. #WoundAwarenessWeek #WoundCare #Medstock #HealingTogether

🌍 Celebrating World Hand Hygiene Day at Medstock 🧼✋ On 5th May 2024, we'll be marking World Hand Hygiene Day, a day dedicated to emphasising the importance of hand hygiene in healthcare. At Medstock, we are committed to safer wound care and infection control, recognising the crucial role of hand hygiene in preventing infections and ensuring the health and safety of both patients and healthcare professionals. 🔬 According to the World Health Organisation, healthcare-associated infections affect millions each year, significantly impacting morbidity and mortality rates. It is estimated that diligent hand hygiene, including the use of gloves, can reduce these infection rates by up to 50%. Gloves are indispensable in wound care, where they minimise the risk of contamination and protect our patients' most vulnerable moments. 🧤 Our range of high-quality gloves and personal protective equipment is designed to surpass industry standards, providing dependable protection and supporting the highest standards of infection control. By adhering to the WHO's Guidelines on Hand Hygiene in Health Care, we empower healthcare professionals to maintain stringent safety protocols. 🤝 As we approach World Hand Hygiene Day, join us at Medstock in prioritising hand hygiene and recognising the critical role gloves play in healthcare. Together, we can create a safer, more hygienic environment for everyone. 📚 For more insights: 1.    Loveday, HP., et al. (2014).
