  • Since 2023 National Patient Transport has been supporting Love Your Sister as a Heavyweight Champion supporting Samuel Johnson OAM’s epic fundraising journey, Sam’s 1000. This initiative aims to bring 1000 business together to raise funds for Precision Medicine, a more effective and targeted way of battling cancer by putting patients on the right medicine, first time, every time. Last year, NPT put Love Your Sister stickers on 200 of their patient transport vehicles, giving real visibility to this important cause. Businesses’ support of Love Your Sister is making a real difference to the lives of cancer patients – so far this year more than $300,000 has been raised through extra fundraising activities by Love Your Sister Champions, in addition to their regular contributions. Importantly, 100% of funds raised go directly to research for Precision Medicine. That’s why, this month, NPT will be hosting more fundraising activities at their depots to draw attention to and raise money for this important cause. These events will be open to all NPT and CDC staff to maximise fundraising potential. As Sam has said, "We are the solution. My sister would be so proud. What me and my sister dreamt of for cancer patients is happening now, and businesses that belong to Sam’s 1000 are so vital. They are our lifeblood."

It’s World Environment Day, the perfect time to reflect on the steps we’re taking towards a cleaner, more sustainable environment. Here are just some of the initiatives we’re leading as part of our emissions reduction journey over the last year: ✔️ In the last 12 months, we saved more than 160 tonnes of CO2 through no tailpipe emissions from 4 electric buses, equivalent to taking 35 cars off the road. ✔️ We also saved more than 770 tonnes of CO2 through no tailpipe emissions from our hybrid buses. That’s equivalent to taking 168 cars off the road. ✔️ We’re also making savings with the way we do things at our depots. 75% of our depots now use recycled water, that we harvested using water tanks, to clean our buses. ✔️ 63% of our depots produce solar energy – equating to 365 tonnes of CO2 savings through solar energy. ✔️ We’re also continuing our efforts to make sure nothing goes to waste, repurposing our assets to reinforce our commitment to reducing our environmental footprint. This year, we’ve donated buses to Fire Rescue Victoria for use in drills and training sessions. We’ve also donated four of our ex-route buses to be repurposed as temporary shelters for community organisation sleepbus. And we’re not stopping there. As we look to the future, we’re continuing to invest in innovative ways to reduce our footprint and contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable world for everyone. Happy World Environment Day! #WorldEnvironmentDay #sustainability

  • It’s National Reconciliation Week, a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. This year, we’re sharing insights from community leaders in the Northern Territory. In this video, Eileen Cummings and Patrick Ahkit talk about the Stolen Generation, and how organisations can contribute to reconciliation week. #reconciliationweek #nationalreconciliationweek #NRW2024

  • Today we had the honour of hosting a visit by our esteemed local Minister, Eden Foster, at National Patient Transport. It was an incredible opportunity for us to showcase the vital work we do in providing safe and efficient patient transportation services. Minister Foster got a first-hand look at our facilities, met our dedicated team members, and learned about our commitment to delivering exceptional care to those in need. During the visit, we had the privilege of discussing the challenges and advancements in the non emergency patient transport industry, as well as the importance of reliable and timely patient transport services to support the healthcare system. Minister Foster expressed great appreciation for our efforts in ensuring that patients receive the highest quality care during their journeys. We are immensely grateful for Minister Foster's interest in our organisation and for taking the time out of her busy schedule to visit us. This recognition further motivates us to continue our mission of making a positive impact on the lives of patients and their families. #NationalPatientTransport #HealthcareExcellence #MinisterVisit #WeCare #TeamCDC

  • Today, along with Australians everywhere, we remember those who have served to defend Australia. We recognise more than a hundred thousand Australian service men and women who have lost their lives in military operations carried out in our country’s name. We honour the values that have been invested in the original Anzacs – loyalty, selflessness, courage – and the ways in which later generations have measured their own achievements against those of the soldiers who fought on Gallipoli. Lest we forget.

  • Earlier this month, our WA team spent time inspiring our future workforce, and making friends with their neighbours, at the Defence and First Responders Career Expo at Comet Bay College. Diane, Jaymii, and Madz, had an excellent time engaging with the senior years students, where they ran NPT merch giveaways for correctly answered first aid questions. They also participated in a speed Q&A session with tables of 4-7 students, on a 10 table rotation. Students were encouraged to ask questions on opportunities available, the application process, qualifications, and career pathways. Overall, it was a fun and successful day for our WA team! #OurFutureWorkforce #InspiringStudents

In alignment with our commitment to sustainability, we're proud to share that we've recently donated expired medical supplies to Medical Pantry. Rather than letting these supplies go to landfill, our Health and Safety Officer Marc, has taken the proactive initiative to organise to donate them to this worthy charity. By repurposing these resources, we're not only extending their useful life but also supporting Medical Pantry to provide essential resources to communities where access to these resources may be limited. Medical Pantry have diverted 15 tonnes of medical supplies from landfill and donated 8 tonnes directly to underserved communities. As a company, we're committed to continually exploring innovative ways to give back and to adopt sustainable practices. This initiative is just one example of how we're using our resources to make a meaningful impact beyond our business. #Sustainability #GiveBack #MakingADifference
