In alignment with our commitment to sustainability, we're proud to share that we've recently donated expired medical supplies to Medical Pantry. Rather than letting these supplies go to landfill, our Health and Safety Officer Marc, has taken the proactive initiative to organise to donate them to this worthy charity. By repurposing these resources, we're not only extending their useful life but also supporting Medical Pantry to provide essential resources to communities where access to these resources may be limited. Medical Pantry have diverted 15 tonnes of medical supplies from landfill and donated 8 tonnes directly to underserved communities. As a company, we're committed to continually exploring innovative ways to give back and to adopt sustainable practices. This initiative is just one example of how we're using our resources to make a meaningful impact beyond our business. #Sustainability #GiveBack #MakingADifference

Investing in sanitation is necessary to prevent deaths, improve lives and livelihoods and provide dignity. Poor sanitation catalyzes a vicious cycle of poverty and often women and girls suffer the most from this deprivation. We are calling on you this #givingtuesday to join us in delivering sustainable safely managed sanitation for all through Fresh Life
This #GivingTuesday, we celebrate the spirit of giving, of collaboration and of generosity. We have seen firsthand the impact of collective giving towards a common cause. Because of your support, we have grown to be one of the largest providers of safely managed container-based sanitation, serving over 270,000 people daily. Today, we are focusing on the transformative impact for families and communities. We are calling upon you to help us continue our mission of delivering change through #safesanitation. With $25, you can support one person's access to safe sanitation for a year. With $100, a family of four will receive #safesanitation services for a year. We aim to raise $20,000 and are calling on you to help us reach our goal! We invite you to Donate here: https://lnkd.in/dC2wX9cw and be the catalyst for positive change. #GivingTuesday #SanitationEquals #DonateForDignity

A picture that has stayed in our minds this year: the backyard of a hospital during an #AccesstoHealth mission in Africa by our colleague Luisa 🏥 "The hospital has received large #donations from various donors that were donated for a good cause. However, as many of these donations are old and do not have maintenance contracts, they often do not last long in an environment where there are few resources for maintenance or repair. In other cases, the donations are simply not suitable for the context in which they are intended to be used. Unfortunately not all donations can be used for saving lives." (Luisa Uhlenbruch) What we can do about it? ➡️ We need better strategic access to health management programs. 🙌 At #POTS, we work with our clients to ensure that access programs are sustainable and in line with the host government's priorities. ✔ #partofthesolution

Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs in Consumer Behavior for Charities and Non-Profits Applying Maslow's (1943) Hierarchy of Needs can help charities and non-profits understand and address the motivations of their supporters and beneficiaries. This framework aids in crafting targeted strategies that resonate on a deeper, more personal level. Physiological Needs: Focus on providing basic necessities like food, shelter, and healthcare. Highlight your role in fulfilling these fundamental needs. Safety Needs: Emphasize programs that ensure personal security, health, and financial stability. Showcase efforts that create a safe environment for your beneficiaries. Love and Belongingness Needs: Foster a sense of community and connection. Promote initiatives that build relationships and support networks among beneficiaries and supporters. Esteem Needs: Recognize and celebrate the contributions of donors, volunteers, and beneficiaries. Create opportunities for them to gain respect and self-esteem through involvement. Self-Actualization Needs: Support personal growth and fulfillment. Offer programs that help individuals achieve their potential and make meaningful contributions. By aligning your initiatives with these needs, you can enhance engagement, build stronger connections, and drive your mission forward more effectively. #NonProfitMarketing #CharityGrowth #MaslowHierarchy #ConsumerBehavior #SocialImpact #CommunityEngagement #Fundraising #NonProfitStrategy #CharityOutreach #MissionDriven #CharityPromotion #SustainableNonProfit

We came to a realization that a campaign of this nature is of paramount for the dignity and livelihood of the needy young females. It has become clear that the issue of poverty and the compromised hygiene of the poor, especially young females, has become a national crisis. Whereas, as prices are inflating, to some, buying sanitary towels is as easy as buying a loaf of bread but to some it’s a downright nightmare and near impossible. Some young ladies find themselves exposed to the indignity of having to use unhygienic alternatives; instead of using safe and hygienic sanitary towels they use things like newspapers, socks, clothes and whatever else they think may stop the flow, which puts them at a huge risk of contracting infections. Justice Desk Africa has thus embarked upon a journey to restore women’s dignity and liberation by ensuring that women on communities do not feel uncomfortable going to school or conducting themselves in general when on their periods. The Justice Desk Africa intervention is aimed at stopping the degrading of some women who find themselves having to ask their neighbours for pads as financial obstacles prevent them from addressing what should be a personal but basic human right. Appeal for Assistance We request for your assistance with packets as many of sanitary pads as you can possibly give away. In the event that you interested to donate DM Justice Desk Africa inbox for more, or drop off at our offices: 12 York Road, Greenpoint, Cape Town. You can also donate funds which we can use to purchase these vitally needed items: https://lnkd.in/dgTbemaF As Justice Desk Africa we would appreciate your assistance in seeking to bring back women dignity, self-esteem and one’s self love and in building a healthy society.
🌟 Support their dignity, empower their future! 🌈💙 Justice Desk Africa calls on you to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable girls in our programs. ✨🌍 By donating sanitary items, you ensure they have the essentials they need to thrive. 🩸 Let's break the barriers together! Your contribution can make a world of difference in promoting menstrual health and empowering these young changemakers. DM us for more, or drop off at our offices: 12 York Road, Greenpoint, Cape Town. You can also donate funds which we can use to purchase these vitally needed items: https://lnkd.in/dgTbemaF Thank you for being a part of the change! 🙏🌟 #DonateForDignity #JusticeDeskAfrica #EmpowerGirls #MakeADifference #CommunityImpact #TogetherForChange
