🌱 Thrilled to share of recent adventure with Lancelin Primary School! 🌱 We recently had the pleasure of welcoming students from Lancelin Primary School to our planting site. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to learn about our vital work and enjoy some hands-on experience planting seedlings. Engaging with our local community is a commitment we at Nativ Carbon are truly proud of. 🌿 Our thanks to Woodside Energy, who made this possible. #CommunityEngagement #Sustainability #EnvironmentalEducation

Pictured here are Murujuga Aboriginal Corporation rangers Jade and Caleb on a tour of the nursery where the seedlings for Woodside’s Native Reforestation Project are grown. The duo travelled from Karratha to Perth and spent the afternoon learning more about nursery operations with our supplier Nativ Carbon. Jade, a proud botany enthusiast, has a vision of opening a nursery in the Pilbara that will grow native species to revegetate Country. “Seeing the nursery really blew me away. As Caleb said to me on the day ‘ I look like a kid in a candy store’. I think that really captures how I was feeling in the moment. The visit gave me a good glimpse into the operations of a large nursery, as well as an insight into the amount of effort it takes to run and maintain an operation like that behind the scenes. It’s given me a lot of thoughts on a native nursery up here in Murujuga. That makes me excited for the future.” Last year, Woodside planted around 2.7 million mixed biodiverse seedlings in Western Australia as part of our Native Reforestation Project. Serious about decarbonising? You’ll need to know the difference between low-integrity and high-integrity carbon projects. Low-integrity carbon projects waste time, money, and resources, and the scepticism they generate undermines the projects that are making a difference. So, how do you know what projects to invest in and which carbon suppliers to trust? We break it down in our latest article. Take a look!
