NatureCo is proud to have worked alongside Amplitude Energy, Center for Nature Conservation and Development, One Tree Planted, and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, as well as research institutions such as CIFOR-ICRAF and Flinders University, through the Business Partnerships Platform, to explore private sector investment in nature-based carbon solutions in Vietnam. What have we achieved? 🌍 Mapped opportunities for nature-based carbon projects in Vietnam, identifying high-quality, high-impact solutions for private sector investment 🌳 Co-developed a reforestation pilot in the Dakrong Nature Reserve, Quang Tri Province, to support Vietnam’s reforestation goals and the livelihoods of local communities. The project is currently undergoing certification with ERS - Ecosystem Restoration Standard. 🌱 Strengthened the capacity of ten grassroots organizations in nature-based carbon solutions, co-developing several initiatives now at different stages of development. We also created targeted communication materials to help these organizations engage Indigenous peoples and local communities (IPLCs) to enhance community-driven change and environmental stewardship. Want to get involved? This opportunity aligns with Vietnam’s evolving carbon market framework and presents a strategic avenue for Vietnamese companies to contribute to national climate goals, enhance biodiversity, and support sustainable development. If you’re a Vietnamese investor looking to collaborate on high-quality, compliance-market carbon projects, we’d love to connect. NatureCo is always looking to scale our impact through collaborations with investors, funds, and international development agencies seeking high-quality NbS carbon projects that create enduring benefits for people, nature, and climate. Reach out to explore opportunities today. https://natureco.earth/ #NatureCo #DFATBpp #naturebasedsolutions #positivechange #integrity #carbonmarkets

Alessia Cascione, Elliott James Ong, and Amélie Uhrig recently travelled to Lampung province, Indonesia, with RECOFTC to assess the feasibility of a new agroforestry project within local supply chains, such as coffee, cocoa, and pepper. This incredibly biodiverse region – home to Siamang gibbons, sun bears, and native orchids – is facing challenges from unsustainable agriculture. NatureCo and RECOFTC are working together to develop a project that uses multipurpose trees to rehabilitate watersheds, restore ecological balance, and enhance ecosystem services while supporting sustainable livelihoods. During the trip, the team reinforced relationships with RECOFTC and local partners, conducted site visits to ground-truth eligibility and consult with communities, and engaged with government agencies to align the project with national priorities. By combining science, community insights, and strong partnerships, we’re working towards a more sustainable and resilient future for Lampung’s landscapes and people. If you would like to get involved or find out more about this exciting initiative, get in touch via our website: natureco.earth #NatureCo #RECOFTC #naturebasedsolutions #communityforestry #positivechange #integrity #carbonmarkets Regan Pairojmahakij Gamma Galudra Yuyun Kurniawan Jessica Kesler

NatureCo has hit the ground running in 2025, making significant progress on an exciting community forest management project in Vidarbha, India. Through the restoration of degraded land, this project aims to improve livelihoods and increase climate resilience of vulnerable forest-dwelling communities in the area. During their recent visit to the region, Alessia Cascione and Chandrakant Deokar collaborated closely with local stakeholders to drive early-stage project preparation. This included providing capacity building to our local partners, the Vidarbha Livelihood Forum (VLF), and engaging with the state government and local communities to better integrate local insights and priorities into the project’s design. Are you interested in being involved in this impactful initiative? Let’s explore how we can work together to create lasting change – reach out today to discuss opportunities for partnership and support. natureco.earth #NatureCo #VidarbhaLivelihoodForum #naturebasedsolutions #communityforestry #positivechange #integrity #carbonmarkets

Chandrakant Deokar’s recent visit to the Sundarbans, alongside Blueyou , Conservation International, and local partner JYDC (Joygopalpur Youth Development Centre), highlighted the transformative potential of integrating mangrove restoration with sustainable aquaculture. Conversations with local communities, farmers, and stakeholders revealed a powerful shared vision of blending traditional knowledge with innovative strategies to restore ecosystems and enhance livelihoods. Mangroves play a critical role in carbon sequestration, biodiversity conservation, and protecting coastal communities from climate impacts like storm surges and rising sea levels. As we continue project planning and engaging with local stakeholders, we are inspired by the potential to strengthen natural hydrology, improve water quality, restore native mangrove species, and support local communities. The Sundarbans offer a unique opportunity to showcase how nature-based solutions can drive both environmental and economic outcomes. At NatureCo, we’re proud to collaborate with partners and local communities to shape a more optimistic future for people and our planet. www.natureco.earth René Benguerel Jonas Walker Nainika Singh Santhana Krishnan Alessia Cascione Chandrakant Deokar #NatureCo #naturebasedsolutions #mangroverestoration #positivechange #integrity #carbonmarkets

Mark Graeme and Verónica Moralez Paoli O. are currently in Mexico for a critical phase of the ‘Sustainable Forests for the Estado de Mexico’ project. This initiative aims to plant six million trees across more than 5,000 hectares of communal land in the Estado de Mexico, contributing to ecosystem restoration and community resilience. During the trip, the team have been conducting field due diligence and strengthening relationships with key project partner, Nación Verde, to ensure the project’s success, leading to long-term positive impacts for people and nature. We look forward to sharing more updates as this exciting project develops. natureco.earth #NatureCo #NacionVerde #naturebasedsolutions #positivechange #integrity #carbonmarkets

Promoting Livelihoods by Restoring Mangroves in the Sunderbans? It is always fruitful and fascinating to spend time in the field where the effects of human interaction with nature are directly visible: I am thankful for the opportunity to visit the Sunderbans, the world's largest mangrove ecosystem in the Bay of Bengal, where Conservation International Asia-Pacific and blue carbon developer NatureCo have been inviting me and Jonas Walker to evaluate the feasibility of integrated, restorative mangrove aquaculture in rural farming communities in Western Bengal, India. Together with our friend and shrimp farming expert Santhana Krishnan we visited rural fish farming communities which have been operating extensive fish and shrimp ponds for decades. The deforestation of these former mangrove areas goes back 250 years - and hence, is not a recent phenomenon, similar to the large scale deforestation of forest land in Europe. Clearly, the local farmers in the Sunderbans are struggling with diminishing returns as the natural productivity of barren ponds continues to decline and erosion is taking its toll. Its been refreshing and motivating to learn and see that local farmers are open and interested in new approaches, such as restoring mangroves on their farms, creating the basis for new, thriving aquatic food webs which can drive yields in these nature-based polyculture systems. Restoring mangroves in degraded intertidal ponds increases productivity and resilience by same time boosting farmer's income and capturing carbon. A triple win for people and planet! Thanks to Chandrakant Deokar and Nainika Singh for organizing this promising and insightful field mission! #restorativefarming #mangroves #restorativemangroveaquaculture #bluecarbon
