Disrupting Noise Pollution at the Source
About us
Noizend is dedicated to addressing the pressing issue of excessive noise pollution, particularly low frequency noise, that affects communities worldwide. Noizend will be using applied science to tailor solutions for specific problems based upon the proven science of active noise control and researching and developing products to be licensed to businesses. The United Nations in its 2022 Frontiers Report “Noise, Blazes and Mismatches” highlighted the 3 major environmental issues facing the world a 'triple planetary crisis". The first issue is Noise Pollution especially in cities. This is a global problem. Solving this problem will provide a global business opportunity and also help make the world a little bit quieter for everyone's benefit near the active products.

NSW Government Cracks Down on Car Noise The NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) is trialling noise cameras in 2 locations in Sydney and Wollongong to crack down on noisy cars. According to an Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) article the cameras are targetting car noise over 90 decibels within 15 metres of the camera and then scan the licence plates. The main focus is on regulatory compliance. The EPA stated “We have committed to trialling noise cameras in the Bayside Council (NSW) and Wollongong City Council local government areas in response to community concerns about anti-social behaviour and noisy vehicles. … An interagency working group led by the EPA and including NSW Police Force, Transport for NSW and councils. Data will be collected from the noise camera technology along with information from concerned community members and councils.” This approach will through fines reduce the noise of a small number of cars. However, the real problem of noise from traffic noise needs to be addressed. This is where Noizend’s Shields that we are developing can reduce all traffic noise entering people’s homes – not just noise from “hoon” cars that these noise camera are aimed at. The noise generated by heat pumps is a growing concern for many, potentially hindering the energy transition in the UK. While modern heat pumps are designed to be quieter, significant challenges remain. Harvie-Clark aptly notes, “There are other issues with how noise limits are characterised. For example, a heat pump’s defrost cycle, which is louder than its normal running level, is not included in MCS’s noise tests. Nor is low-frequency noise, nor any information on tonality or directionality.” At Noizend, we are committed to overcoming these noise challenges with our Noizend Shield technology. This innovation ensures a peaceful and quiet living space while embracing greener technologies. By addressing noise concerns head-on, we are supporting the transition to sustainable energy and making it more accessible and acceptable. Let’s move towards a sustainable and quieter future together! 🌍🔇 #Sustainability #HeatPumps #Noizend #Innovation #QuietLiving

Noizend is delighted that we have reached another significant milestone, adding considerable energy to our journey forward. We have demonstrated that active noise control (ANC) technology (as proven and applied in noise-cancelling headphones) can be used in a broader environment to reduce low-frequency noise. This noise goes straight through most current passive noise barriers like double-glazed windows. ANC is based upon the proven science that a noise sound wave can be cancelled by an equal and opposite phased sound wave. In our demonstration video, the first speaker creates the low-frequency sound, the microphone picks up the sound, and the second smaller speaker produces the anti-noise wave. You can hear how the low-frequency noise is significantly reduced as the camera moves from the sound source to behind the second speaker, producing anti-noise waves. As the camera moves back, the sound increases again. Truly a remarkable milestone for Noizend. For a short video of our demonstration see See https://lnkd.in/gYcvEd2j

A recent study reveals that noise pollution significantly impacts avian growth, stress levels, and survival rates. Birds exposed to noise had reduced body mass, elevated stress hormones, and lower survival rates. Let's protect our wildlife from the harmful effects of noise pollution by elevating the proven science of active noise control to entropic open-air environments. 🌍💚 #NoisePollution #WildlifeConservation #Sustainability #Noizend
