In mining, we often get asked about coal. The truth is, it’s still needed for so many things. Like energy security for many years to come, while the world builds enough renewables and develops other energy sources. NSW coal is also essential for making steel, used to make frames, roofing, gutters and fences in new homes and renovations all over NSW - as well as train tracks, home appliances, bridges, EVs and more. And emissions from mining are down as we all work towards a more sustainable future. Because in NSW, we mine responsibly, for today and tomorrow. Find out more at: https://lnkd.in/gTCVwAgU

Today is R U OK? Day - a day to reflect on the importance of checking in and staying connected with our workmates, friends, and family. Life happens every day. And life is busy for everyone. Today, we encourage you to commit to regular, meaningful check-ins with family, friends, and workmates that could save a life. And if someone doesn't seem like their usual self, create an opportunity for them to open up. TIPS ON HOW TO ASK R U OK 1️⃣ Be relaxed and friendly, and use active listening skills. Be present. 2️⃣ Help them open up by asking questions like "How are you going?" or "What's been happening?" 3️⃣ Mention specific things that have made you concerned for them, like "You seem less chatty than usual. How are you going? Mental health struggles can affect anyone. And a strong support network is vital. ➡️ Read more about how we can continue to support each other better in the workplace at www.ruok.org.au
