Pact Group is proud to be the plastic recycling partner of the New Zealand Caps and Lids Recycling Scheme. This new product stewardship program is designed to ensure as many plastic caps and lids as possible are diverted from landfill, instead becoming part of the circular economy #ProudToPartner #Recycling #ProductStewardship #CircularEconomy
Circularity for PET thermoforms meat trays and produce punnets is here!
Here's some good news in time for the weekend: Australia now has capacity and capability for PET plastic tray-to-tray circularity thanks to a collaboration between Pact Group Holdings Ltd, Woolworths Group, Hilton Foods and Cleanaway Waste Management that will see PET meat trays and fruit & veg punnets (which until now have largely not been recycled, and even then have been downcycled) get a second life. Collected kerbside, they'll be recycled at Circular Plastics Australia PET facility in Altona North, which is run by Pact, and then remanufactured (thermoformed) into new food-grade trays and punnets. Viva collaboration! It's the only way we're going to achieve plastics circularity for packaging. #circulareconomy #circularplastics #leadingthecirculareconomy #PETrecycling #plasticrecycling #sustainablepackaging Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) Bryan McKay Simon Dowding Jan Arreza Navanpreet Kaur
Groundbreaking circular innovation! Pact Group has teamed up with Hilton Foods Asia Pacific, Woolworths Supermarkets and Cleanaway Waste Management to create a circular economy solution for PET thermoformed meat trays and produce punnets. For the first time in Australia, Pact can recycle trays and punnets and convert them back into new trays ready for the supermarket shelves. #CircularEconomy #Recycling #Collaboration #CircularInnovation #ProudToBePact #Leadership
We were thrilled to work with Chobani Australia on their premium recyclable PET tubs for their new Gippsland Dairy ‘Crafted’ range. #ProudToBePact #CircularInnovation #Collaboration

Fluorination is finally over in Australia ... there is a massive environmental benefit in Pact Plasma Coating and multi layer packaging. Hopefully the conversion away from Fluorination is now a reality !
Pact Chair Raphael Geminder has told a Parliamentary Inquiry into Food and Beverage Manufacturing that Australia will fail to achieve its #circulareconomy objectives for #packaging unless government ensures its proposed National Packaging Laws adequately safeguard and grow the domestic #recycling and #manufacturing industries. To ensure a viable recycling system, get meaningful diversion from landfill, and fast track our progress towards a #plasticscirculareconomy, we need mandatory requirements for the procurement and use of domestic recycled content in all packaging. https://lnkd.in/gr5TxR4P

We have created Australia's first recycled plastic containers for agricultural chemicals. Our AgriG8 containers can be made using up to 30 per cent recycled plastic. They’re key to the new Drums-to-Drums initiative, a circular solution designed to collect, recycle and remake used containers. This is a collaboration with CropLife Australia and Agsafe, building on the drumMUSTER program which has so far collected more than 40 million drums from farms across Australia. We are proud to support a circular economy for the agricultural sector and a greener future for our planet.
