Day 3 of the combined German and Dutch Hydrogen Trade Mission to Australia. Our delegations first day in Brisbane started off with a presentation from Dana Hildebrandt on the Queensland Department of Energy and Climate's strategy for water and hydrogen, which will be crucial to ensuring that these projects don't come at cost of Queensland's unique and diverse environment. After hearing about the strategies in place surrounding the development of green hydrogen in Queensland, we visited the CSIRO in Brisbane where Nikolai Kinaev showcased the broad technical and social expertise present in Australia regarding the hydrogen economy. And last but certainly not least we kicked off the Asia-Pacific Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition with the Australian Hydrogen Council's welcome reception which we were honoured to co-host with the Queensland Government, Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. Back in 2000, we installed our first (and the world's first!) long-length Reinforced Thermoplastic Pipe. It's been 24 years since SoluForce introduced this solution, and more than 4,500 km of pipe has been installed in that time all around the world. What you can see in the pictures is the first 1.2 km of this 4,500 km, installed in Oman for gas transportation. The long length of the pipe was a game changer in terms of the installation and safety of the system. Our 400 meters per coil was actually a deciding factor for the customer! The system was installed quickly and without the need for supporting infrastructure or maintenance. And we keep it that way.
