Despite the challenges of former Cyclone Alfred and severe weather that impacted Queensland and Northern New South Wales, the strength and resilience of the Regis community shone through. Our teams worked tirelessly to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our residents, clients and employees, showcasing exceptional emergency planning and unwavering dedication. Regis Sandgate Lucinda resident, Catherine Gear, said, “During the preparation and lead up to Cyclone Alfred, I felt informed and safe. This was due to the fact that management and employees kept me up to date with what was happening. They were confident when speaking to residents and provided us with reassurance that it was under control.” Our Crisis Management Team provided ongoing support, coordinating every aspect of our response. Some employees even slept at the Homes to ensure support for our residents, often while their own homes were under threat. Daily updates kept families informed and reassured.
