Richmond Vanadium Technology Limited (RVT) is an Australian minerals company currently advancing its Richmond Vanadium Project in North Queensland. RVT is the 100% owner of the Richmond Vanadium Project. The 1.8Bt Richmond Vanadium Project has a completed Pre-Feasibility Study which demonstrated a technically viable and financially attractive development project. The Richmond Vanadium Project has a completed process flowsheet using conventional techniques with a provisional patent application lodged with IP Australia covering the method for the concentration of vanadium. RVT is completing a Bankable Feasibility Study and is progressing approvals for the Richmond Vanadium Project. The Queensland Government declared the Richmond Vanadium Project to be a Coordinated Project in May 2022, making it the first critical minerals project to be awarded this status.

Vanadium's role in the global energy transition is being driven by the increasing adoption of vanadium redox flow batteries (#VRFBs), a safe, long-life solution for large-scale #energystorage. This emerging sector is poised to play a vital role in stabilising renewable energy grids, aligning with RVT’s strategic focus on supplying #vanadium to support the global shift towards sustainable energy sources.
The urgent need to address climate change and accelerate the clean #energy transition requires the rapid, sustained deployment of #renewable sources like wind and solar. But what happens to the energy transition when the wind doesn’t blow, or the sun doesn’t shine? The good news? The solution is already here: long duration energy storage. #LDES acts as the conductor of a clean energy orchestra, ensuring that energy sources collaborate to create a balanced, reliable, and resilient energy grid in perfect harmony.
We are pleased to share our September 2024 Quarterly Report. During the quarter, we submitted a draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Richmond – Julia Creek Vanadium Project to the Office of the Coordinator-General in Queensland and submitted a Mining Lease application to the Queensland Department of Resources. Our Non-Executive Chairman, Brendon Grylls presented at the 40th VRFB Symposium held at UNSW Sydney. Presenting on RVT's Collaboration Agreement with Dalian Rongke, Brendon called on the attendees to engage with members of parliament to foster and encourage flow battery manufacturing and mining in Australia. He said otherwise we are just talking in circles with ourselves. Brendan had the honour meeting Emeritus Professor Maria Skyllas-Kazacos, the lead researcher behind the development of the first VRFB.
Our Non-Executive Chairman, Brendon Grylls and Company Secretary Monique Stevens will be attending the 40th Anniversary Flow Battery Symposium at UNSW Sydney, with Emeritus Professor Maria Skyllas-Kazacos, the lead researcher behind the development of the first Vanadium Flow Battery. This symposium will highlight the journey from the technology's inception to its commercial implementation and showcase developments in flow battery technologies from Australia and around the world. The symposium will also put the spotlight on the ongoing efforts to advance flow battery manufacturing in Australia. #RVT #VRFB
