About us

The Rural, Regional, Remote Women’s Network of Western Australia (RRR Network) is WA’s pre-eminent communication network for inspiring & connecting regional women; championing their role in our communities and advocating on their behalf. We have a 21-year history of supporting and celebrating Western Australian women, with a focus on women and their families, who live and work outside of the Perth metropolitan area. In 2016 the RRR Network transitioned from a WA State government advisory board to an independent incorporated entity. Our constituency is every woman living in a rural, regional, or remote community in Western Australia. We have a subscriber base of ~10,000 individuals, businesses and community organisations who receive a quarterly magazine from us; and an active Facebook following.

  • On Friday 18th October the RRR Network held its annual Cultivate event sponsored by ANZ. This year we mixed things up! We were out of the city and held a morning/lunch event. We also did a deep dive into economic empowerment of women by learning a lot about our personal relationship with money. Through this, we revealed the importance of financial management and considered ways we could share our new knowledge with women within our own networks. Thanks to Sarah Lang from Regional Finance Hub and ANZ's Elizabeth Beech for presenting and all the women who participated. • RRR Network is coming to Esperance for the final event of the year! Join us for a Picnic with the Posies and hear from venue host Jen Morcombe. Jen has lived in the region for more than 60 years! Growing up in the bush, she developed a love for the environment. Jen has a property in Pink Lake, where she and her partner, Tim, built a passive solar house and they maintain Fairymead for the benefit of a random collection of stray animals and birds! The soil has been improved with mineral fertiliser, clovers, medics, red soil, gravel, clay, homemade compost, horse and cow manure, mushroom substrate, ash, fish, soil microbes and biochar. The garden is mulched with rocks, sawdust, grain dust, woodchip, cardboard and straw. Now the garden is overflowing with flowers and fruit and vegetables. When Jen is not pulling weeds, fighting Victorian tea tree, kikuyu and other pests, planting seeds or looking at pretty pictures of more flowers to grow, you will find her on the push bike going down for a swim in the pond, or tutoring English and Maths. Life is so rewarding! The Details 📅 Tuesday 5th November 📍 Fairymead Flower Farm, Fill Rd, Pink Lake 🕔 11am - 1pm 🎟️ $45pp (includes catered lunch and the opportunity to pick your own bouquet of flowers 💐 ) Tickets are on sale now - https://lnkd.in/gTdd5vN

  • Regional Development Minister Don Punch launched the Rural Regional Remote Women's Network of Western Australia's (RRR Network) 'What RRR Women Want Survey' report yesterday afternoon at Parliament House. Minister Punch said "Regional women are pivotal to keeping our communities and primary industries thriving. The challenges they face are unique and it is important to understand these challenges so we can best support our regional communities. Yesterday I was delighted to launch the RRR -The Rural, Regional, Remote Women's Network of Western Australia’s inaugural survey, which provides meaningful insights into the lives and expectations of women living in the regions. Our Government is pleased to support the wonderful work of the RRR Network, including the Rural Women’s Award, as it advocates ideas, action and change to optimise living and working in our amazing regions. The RRR Network has made an immensely valuable contribution to WA communities over the past 28 years and I look forward to seeing them use learnings from this survey to continue to help regional women achieve their goals". • In a heartfelt effort to address the diverse challenges faced by rural, remote, and regional children across Australia, an animated series titled “Fangs on the Farm” has been created. This initiative is deeply inspired by the personal journey of Kate, a parent who had to perform CPR on her youngest son, Darcy, when he was just 16 months old. Following Darcy's diagnosis of epilepsy, Kate felt a compelling need to develop educational resources for families navigating similar experiences. In celebration of this wonderful series, the Mitchell family warmly invites everyone to the premiere of “Fangs on the Farm.” Full details and ticket links can be found here - https://bit.ly/4h2U6d3
