Introducing the world's newest breed – the Rescuoodle (res-kyoo-dle) ❤️ At RSPCA NSW, we believe that rescue animals are in a breed of their own. So, we’ve decided to make it official. Introducing Rescuoodles, a campaign to inspire the world to open their hearts and homes to animals awaiting adoption 🙌 Cavoodles, schnoodles, and bernedoodles were all once unknown words. Now, these breeds are all the rage amongst pet owners. But as more people buy designer pets, they leave behind oodles of rescue animals patiently waiting for a home. With a 30% decline in adoptions seen across NSW the launch of Rescuoodles hopes to raise the profile of rescue animals, reduce the demand for unethical breeding and celebrate those who have already been adopted. A Rescuoodle can be fluffy, scruffy, spotty or striped, smooth as silk, mellow or hyped. We are pleased to be welcoming BRAVECTO on board as the official National Health Partner of the RSPCA! We are extremely grateful to receive support from MSD Animal Health with the provision of vaccines and BRAVECTO for animals in our care. We recently had the honour of running a Cupcake Day at the Parliament of NSW 🧁🐾 All parliamentarians were invited, with almost half attending to celebrate our mission to protect and care for animals by preventing cruelty and empowering communities to value humane treatment through education, advocacy, and support. The morning was filled with engaging conversations, delicious cupcakes, and the heart-stealing charm of Jack, an American Staffordshire Terrier who captured everyone’s hearts 🐶 Seeing so many from all political parties come together to support animal welfare, and the vital work we do at RSPCA NSW was such a pleasure. Events like these are essential for raising awareness about the challenges faced by the animals in our care. They serve as a reminder that every one of them deserves a second chance ❤️ A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this day such a success! In September we welcomed teams from Naiman Clarke , Gough Recruitment , Bendigo Bank , QBE Insurance , Jamf and NEXTDC at our Sydney shelter for their Corporate Experience Days ❤️ They enjoyed behind the scenes tours of our shelter, including our clinic, cuddled puppies and kittens, created enrichment for our animals, and other "room service" tasks like cleaning and preparing meals for our cats and dogs. We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to our amazing RSPCA NSW Petbarn Coordinators – Jazmine and Billie for all they’ve achieved ❤️ Their dedication goes beyond selecting the right cats and kittens for Petbarn in store adoption. They also assist with treatments for cats and kittens, follow-ups, and provide ongoing support in store. In addition, they've trained teams across NSW on how to facilitate adoptions, participate in promotions, and organise monthly puppy pop-up events to help our puppies find loving homes. Thanks to their hard work, over 759 cats and kittens have found their forever homes across the state. We are incredibly grateful for their dedication to the cause. #AnimalWelfare #ThankYou #PetBarn
