  • Sea turtle hatchlings rely on natural light from the moon and stars to guide them safely to the ocean. 🐢 But bright artificial lights from buildings and streetlights can disorient them, making their journey even harder. Conservation efforts around the world focus on reducing light pollution near nesting beaches to protect these little ones on their first big adventure. A simple action — like shielding lights or turning them off — can make a world of difference for the next generation. 💙 #TurtleTuesday #MarineLife #OceanConservation #Turtles

  • Fewer than 100 Irrawaddy dolphins remain in the Mekong. Once found throughout the river, these unique and charismatic dolphins are now restricted to just a 120km stretch between Stung Treng and Kratie, Cambodia. Their survival is threatened by bycatch, habitat destruction, and illegal fishing. That’s why Climate Resilient by Nature is supporting WWF-Cambodia to work with local fisheries and promote sustainable fishing practices — helping to protect both livelihoods and this critically endangered species. Now, a team of Khmer and international conservationists is taking on an extraordinary challenge: a relay swim down the Mekong River. Along the way, they will document dolphin sightings and collect vital data to support conservation efforts! 🏊 📢 Learn more and follow their journey: https://lnkd.in/eymr7mtP #TheDolphinSwim #MekongRiver #Conservation #Dolphins #Cambodia

  • Yesterday’s Country and Climate Forum was an incredible gathering of knowledge, stories, and action. From Elders to youth leaders, Indigenous experts shared how Traditional Knowledge can drive real solutions in environment, economy, and technology. 🌿   We were proud to have Cliff Cobbo represent WWF-Australia, sharing his insights and wisdom. The discussions throughout the day highlighted the importance of recognising and respecting 65,000+ years of knowledge to shape a regenerative and inclusive future.   The final session had the room come alive, turning ideas into action for the road ahead.    A huge thank you to the organisers, speakers, and everyone who took part in this inspiring day!   #ClimateActionWeekSydney #ClimateAction #NaturePositive #Climate #Nature

  • Are you feeling hopeful or fearful when it comes to the future? 💭 Some incredible insights are coming out of this ImpactX fireside chat with a lineup of powerful speakers. Change happens when we just "get on with it!". https://lnkd.in/gWEg8E9F

Global Leader in Innovation for Sustainable Development

Just stepped off stage from a powerful fireside chat at @ImpactX with @Susan Moylan-Coombs. One thing is clear: we don’t have time to wait for permission. The leaders we heard from today aren’t asking for it. They’re walking the talk, embedding First Nations knowledge, and proving that real change happens when we just get on with it.    I talked about that we are living through the fourth Industrial Revolution. But this time, we have a choice: repeat the mistakes of the past, or build a future that places people and planet at the centre. This is not a linear path - it’s a shift to a regenerative economy that thrives on cooperation, not competition.    Despair can fuel fear and division. Hope, on the other hand, hope is a force multiplier. We’ve seen it in agriculture, in communities coming together for food security, and in nature-positive solutions that unlock potential.    We asked the room: Are you feeling hopeful? Or fearful?    I know where the Impact X conference audience stands on this issue! As a room full of optimistic future focused doers we need to listen and act on Anne’s First Nation wisdom …. “Wake up the snake” WWF-Australia
