NDIS Minister Bill Shorten has announced his forthcoming retirement from federal politics during a press conference with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. Shorten will continue as NDIS Minister until February 2025, after which he'll take up a position as vice-chancellor of the University of Canberra. Regarding his remaining time as NDIS Minister, Shorten emphasized his commitment: 'I will use every minute left in this job to secure the future of the scheme and ensure it continues to empower with choice and control and give Australians with disability the chance to fulfil their potential.'" https://lnkd.in/gZ83ZQ75

Changes to the NDIS are just around the corner, but many participants still feel left in the dark. Participants and advocates are calling for clearer information to ensure everyone understands the upcoming modifications accurately. The NDIA has acknowledged the uncertainty in the community and has launched an "extensive campaign" designed to ensure participants and their supporters were informed about the changes.
