"SiteMinder provides a space where innovation meets purpose. We know that the work we do directly empowers hoteliers around the world." Congratulations to Ivonne Barnes, who's celebrating six years at SiteMinder as one of our Dallas-based premium services & reseller consultants! 💙 Ivonne describes her time with us as "being part of a leading company that is always evolving, with every day bringing new challenges, learning opportunities and ways to make a real impact". The culture of hustling, simplifying, growing and coming together, she says, fosters a collaborative and inspiring workplace, where she feels truly valued as part of the team, and believes her growth at SiteMinder mirrors our company’s evolution. Ivonne's favourite memory? Ivonne reflects how, during the height of the pandemic, she truly felt the strength and security of #TeamSiteMinder. "Despite the global uncertainty, the leadership’s commitment to the team's wellbeing and job security never wavered." As an avid traveller, Ivonne loves the stunning beaches and warm hospitality of Cancún, and is planning another trip there in the near future. Well done to Ivonne on reaching this amazing milestone!

11% of travellers globally list Australia as a destination they intend to visit this year, making it the world’s fourth hottest destination, behind Japan, the US and France. Among Chinese travellers? It's the top destination. With all signs pointing to a more dynamic landscape than we’ve seen in recent years, our own Bradley Haines says it's clear that Australian hotels are facing a significant turning point, especially as they think about meeting guest expectations and their revenue goals in 2025. Here he is in AccomNews: https://bit.ly/smctr25

"Innovation thrives on diversity and vice versa – feed the cycle." Writing in TechDay Australia, on the eve of International Women's Day, our Chief Product Officer, Leah Rankin, provides a look at how the tech industry can "March Forward" in 2025 by redefining its critical skillsets.
Reflecting on this year's International Women's Day, it makes me think about how diversity within the tech sector has evolved over the years. Long gone are the days when you needed to have a computer science degree to find success in tech. Indeed, I've been fortunate to have had the opportunity to apply the wide-ranging skills I learnt through my Arts Degree to every role I've held within tech, including the wonderful position I have today. Yes, thankfully, tech companies like SiteMinder now pursue innovation by employing people of all backgrounds. But the fact remains: women make up only 28% of the tech workforce. So, how diverse is our sector, really? I took to TechDay Australia with my plea to march forward to a different tune and redefine what "critical skillsets" mean in tech, now and in the future. https://lnkd.in/gWnjqP8r
